Introductory Chapter on Hell

Thank you for purchasing Part #3 of Doctrines of Demons. In book #1, we looked at multiple doctrines that have crept into the church over the years with chapter headings on ha-Satan, demons, ghost, sickness, and women in ministry, among other topics. In Book #2 we examined false teachers, wolves, the prosperity gospel, and numerous chapters on the journey of salvation and why Yeshua said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 15:24 NASB.

I believe it is important to read these books in order for a full picture or feast. The third Book in this series will look at the many dogmas that have crept in concerning heaven, hell, soul sleep, and the resurrection of the dead.

Many of us have eaten bread that we shouldn’t have ingested, but at the end of the day, most of us realize it came from hearts who meant well or were only allotted a certain amount of light for that season. Surely, we can see revelation and understanding are greater in this hour than ever before. The main goal of this teaching series is to correct various dogmas that have crept into the faith that have caused fear and harm to sheep.

This book, like the two previous ones, is for those who have been ingrained with a multitude of doctrines set firmly in place by the Catholic or Protestant Church system. Many are convinced that Uncle Perry and Aunt Flo are walking on streets of gold and sipping tea in their mansions. These types of doctrines will be disputed here. I will be using multiple scriptures to expose lies passed down from our fathers.

We’ll look at Elijah and Enoch, and I’ll entreat you to ask the question, “Are they really in heaven?” We will search out soul sleep, the transfiguration, the souls under the altar, the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, and what a baptism of fire is versus a lake of fire. I will also touch on Dante’s Inferno—and three leading religions: Islam, Hinduism, and Judaism and their belief in the afterlife. Other topics included in this third series are the Valley of Hinnom, the wages of death, The Book of Enoch, The Luz bone, Sarah’s age at death and the year of Jubilee.

This book will examine funeral eulogies we’ve all sat through that use Paul’s words out of context, cherry picking verses and completely missing the whole message by reading one scripture or two and building a doctrine out of it. I’ll scrutinize the testimonies of people and even children who claim they have traveled to heaven and hell and experienced one of these places, as well as Hollywood’s portrayal of heaven and hell. We will compare these stories with what the Scriptures confirm.

Christianity is ranked the largest religion in the world today. In 2015 there were 2.3 billion Christians around the world, nearly a third of the global population. That’s a large number with over 41,000 different sects all divided by using the same book. I write to an audience of those individuals, although some portions of this book series may go deeper.

In the first book, I recounted a dream I had back in the mid-2000’s. I would like to revisit that dream here briefly.

In my night dream, there appeared a man who was hulk like, broad shouldered, and in cartoon character form. He was wearing a suit and tie and a smile as broad as his shoulders. Out of his chest was another head of a man of African descent, both heads talking excitedly. They were double minded.

The backdrop for this vision was a morning show, aired in the streets of a large city that looked like New York. In front of the announcer who was interviewing the gentleman with two heads, was a conveyor belt coming out of a stone oven; on the conveyor belt were silver trays with delectable foods. As the smoke rose off the dainty little treats, the announcer held the microphone in front of the large man and said, “I can smell the fresh thyme, rosemary, and garlic, it smells magnificent!”

Both heads spoke in agreement and then the announcer replied, “And you say it’s all made with human dung?”

“That’s right, the men agreed, and they never even know it. The people just eat it up and never suspect a thing!”

The announcer said, “Amazing. Well, you heard it here first folks, now back to you, Brenda.”

I awoke and prayed until Yahweh revealed to me who these cartoon characters represented. They were shepherds (ministers) who were taking the word of G-d and making it look good, smell good, and taste good, but it was all a bunch of garbage. They were feeding the people a load of crap, twisting and manipulating the Holy Word of G-d.

After becoming extremely sick and unable to work, on my better days, I was given hours to do nothing but study. Although I had been studying the Bible most my life, this was far different. I began to tear apart my concordance and devour His Word. I heard in my spirit, “Tekoa erase everything you have been taught and start over. Research the Jewishness of your faith. Find rabbinical teachings and search for My Son Jesus/ Yeshua in them. Allow my Ruach Holy Spirit to teach you.” Soon I began to see things that were hidden inside the pages of my Bible. Things so deep and unheralded, most the pastors I questioned about such topics looked at me quite strange.

Our Bible never used to contain periods, commas, or paragraph breaks but were just one long scroll. An archbishop named Stephen Langton divided the Bible (Tanakh) into chapters in 1227 A.D. In 1448, a Jewish Rabbi named Nathan Robert Estienne also divided the Hebrew Older Testament, and then a man named Stephanus used Nathan’s formula to add chapter breaks in the Newer portion of our Bibles—. What is my point?

Spiritually, we have divided it so deeply today, that we have over 41,000 denominations who all share this one book. Ancient Greek and Hebrew do not have punctuation. Kind of like, Mom cooked, the kids sang. Without the comma in place, mom could have cooked the kids. Why would this matter? Let’s begin our journey by reading what Yeshua-Jesus said to the thief on the cross.

“And Jesus said unto him, “Verily I say unto thee today, shalt thou be with Me in Paradise.” Luke 23:43 KJV. A better translation may have said “Verily I say unto you on that day, you will be with me in paradise. If one were to do a careful study on that day they would find much information. Even Martha, Lazarus sister knew this. “Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” John 11:24 KJB.

Jesus-Yeshua said this to Mary at the tomb, “Touch Me not, for I am not yet ascended to My Father…” John 20:17. He needed to be the FirstFruits offering. If he wasn’t ascended yet, how could he be in paradise with the thief? Then He appeared to the disciples in bodily form for forty days after the resurrection and told them to wait for the promise that was poured out at the next Feast day. Many will tell you Yeshua’s Spirit was here, but His body wasn’t.

“Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord—for we walk by faith, not by sight—we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.” 2nd Corinthians 5:6-8 NASB. What does this look like for saints referred to as sleeping? Let’s go further.

I have had several procedures at the hospital in my lifetime. Each time, when I was coming back out of the anesthesia, it was as if I had no recollection of time. I believe the grave is like this. It’s a time of deep sleep until “that day.” That day of bodily resurrection.

During the days of Tribulation, seven trumpets or shofars will sound an alarm. The Jews concern themselves with three trumpet blast—the first trump, the last trump, and the great trump. The first trumpet was blown in the book of Exodus Chapter nineteen on Mount Sinai. This Mount is said to be the very place Adam was created and the very place he is redeemed. It is where our marriage covenant was spoken. Many believe the last trump is when the dead are raised and the great trumpet will be blown on Yom Kippur at Yeshua’s/Jesus’ coming. Other scholars discount three trumpets and combine the last two into one long sound.

There are many revelations and deeper meanings behind our faith coming forth at this time. Knowledge is increasing and Light is streaming forth. If you have been sitting in an assembly for years thinking “there must be more”– there is! I am not just talking about a prayer language, a service where people dance and shout and Jim got healed from back pain. I am talking about knowing Him inside of His Feast days, His Torah, and in the hidden details, we often miss. When I first met my husband I did not know him very well. The more I fell in love with him, the more I wanted to know about him. Our Father and Yeshua are like this.

The Father wants to show people a more intimate way, a more righteous way, and the truth. The same ones screaming false prophets and Jezebel are usually the ones who need to look deeper at themselves, as we all do. We have been taught with a Greek, westernized mindset. Sadly, we must become blind so that we can see.

“For judgment, I came into this world, so that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind.” John 9:39 NASB.

It’s not too late to be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law (Torah) or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law (Torah) until all is accomplished.

Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-19 NASB

I don’t have all the answers. The more I study, the less I know. However, much has crept into our Body that needs to be removed. Heaven and Hell and the afterlife are some things all mortals question at times. The question is where will we spend it?

I pray the teachings in this book give you fresh manna and that you eat from His table and the Feast table to come.

Blessings & Shalom.
