I sat outside the other day and a bug was on its back in an empty flower pot on my patio. It was very peculiar looking, and I was intrigued to study it. I snapped a photo and went researching. This is what I found.
This bug has over 7,000 species.
“The genus Apiomerus, which contains species known commonly as bee assassins or bee killers, is among the largest genera in family Reduviidae. Species of Apiomerus frequent flowering plants, where they coat their legs with sticky plant resins and wait for their prey.
Have you been captured by a sticky assassin? They are among us, and they try and devour the bees and kill them. Who are the Bees? Well, I am thinking of multiple Bees in the Body, but let’s start with Deborah—the mighty judge over Israel, who was a prophetess who sat under her palm tree. Her name is identical to the Hebrew word for bee, and it means to speak or pronounce.
Bees are the workers, teachers/Elders, leaders, prophets and those who help supply the honey of His Torah, but they constantly are battling against the ass-assins. The assassins capture their prey with stickiness. Their legs/walk are a trap.
Bees bring us honey, but they also sting. Sometimes the truth hurts. Sometimes we need to be stung. Sometimes the sting helps us return to Him. Sometimes the honey does.
If you have ever looked at a bee colony it is fascinating. They all work together, and their work is perfection at its best. However, lately, they have been diminishing. The pesticides we spray filled with toxins, disease, and our phone towers are not helping them, and to top it all off, they have to deal with assassins.
We have plenty of bees working in Abba’s Kingdom, but sometimes they have to deal with Korah and his associates. Korah wanted to be honored. He wanted to have the number one place of authority.
“Now Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took action, and they rose up before Moses, together with some of the sons of Israel, two hundred and fifty leaders of the congregation, chosen in the assembly, men of renown. “They assembled together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, You have gone far enough, for all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is in their midst; so why do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the LORD?” Numbers 16:3 NASB.
Most people in ministry wouldn’t do something like this if they knew the outcome was going to be the earth swallowing them up. They certainly wouldn’t do it if they knew that those involved would also be swallowed up. These men witnessed Aaron’s son combust before their eyes.
How embarrassing to proclaim oneself smarter than Moses and Aaron. No, scratch that. How atrocious it would be to think that their staff would bloom bigger and better than Aarons! That they were handpicked over them. That they could do it better. Knew more than Yahweh himself. As if He made a mistake choosing them.
The sticky legs of the assassins were trying to kill the bees and the King Bee, Moshe–a man who HaShem spoke to face to face and not in dark speeches. A man whose face shown like a bright light. A man who fasted forty days and nights, not once, not twice, but three times. A man that cried out for their very lives. “”But now, if You will, forgive their sin– and if not, please blot me out from Your book which You have written!” Exodus 32:32.
How many of us would cry out for the ones we see in leadership right now who are slandering and mocking His Torah–mocking His chosen people–His Rabbis, Messianic leaders, T.O leaders, Pastors and Evangelist? How many would cry out and say “Blot me out of your book?” OUCH! I was reading today and came across this verse.
“My eyes shed streams of water, because they do not keep Your law/ Torah.” Psalm 119:136 NASB.
Are we shedding tears or spewing ignorance?
Korah and these men already had a position, but it wasn’t getting enough attention. They wanted to be in the light. They became louder. They began to slander. They said, “We are all holy too!” What can we learn from them? A tiny bee?
The bee colony has three main types–a Queen, drones, and workers. The Queen is the only bee that gives life. She lays around 2,500 eggs a day. Towards the end of her life she will give birth to another queen. She will release a scent and communicate to the whole colony that her time is ending and another will take her place as Queen.
Drones are male bees, and they don’t do any work. Their only job is to fertilize the queen and then they die. Their reproductive organs are torn off as the Queen flies off with them. The drones are told to leave the colony, and they are obedient. Those who did not mate starve to death. Buzz about Bees has a great article. Here’s a few facts from their blog.
- “Their lives are very brief (- is that unfortunate?).
- They are only reared when it suits the queen honey bee (- is that exploitation?).
- They die straight after mating! (- is it worth the sacrifice?).
- Not all of them even get to mate! (- is that fair?).
- At the end of the summer, or when the going gets tough, they’re the first to be kicked out of the colony, so as not to drain resources (- is that disrespectful?). “
For more info The Drone Bee:
Ninety-nine percent of the bees are worker bees. These are all female. These Ninety-nine have different jobs to do, and they know what those are. They do not try and usurp. Guard bees are like watchmen. They protect the hive. House bees clean the cells. Wax bees repair the older cells, and they build new ones. Then we have nurse bees who care for the young and the weaker. Foragers are older and more experienced and they spend most of their time away collecting pollen and nectar. Everyone knows his or her position. The watchmen does not try to be the nurse. The house bees do not try to be the wax bees, and none of them try to be the Queen. All 99% work in a hierarchy of leadership.
Yeshua left the 99 to go after the one lost sheep.
I found the next quote interesting.
“Everything about them (bees) seems curious and beautiful; their waxen cells, their manner of gathering honey and storing it up, their neatness and order, all are admirable. They are perfectly harmless when left to themselves; but if they are attacked, they fly around the person who disturbs them, in great numbers, and sometimes sting him very severely.” Topical Bible: Bee.
For some time now, my husband and I have been praying for Christian congregations we were involved in ministry at. A few years ago, we felt led to sit down and unlearn and relearn many things. We are still learning. All parties involved were hurt—confused, but time went on. Occasionally, we check their websites to see what’s going on. We were both raised at a large congregation that has radio and television networks. Last week they announced that a Rabbi was coming this week (Sunday) to teach on the Feast of Sukkot or Tabernacles. We were ecstatic! Another one of these assemblies has a guest speaker teaching ‘His Feast’ as well. They are seeing Jesus/ Yeshua in the Feast and getting on His Calendar. Still another, I was given a dream about recently, confirming that they too are seeing His Feast and Torah. Praise HIM! If you don’t know what Torah means, its instructions to live a blessed life. Read Psalms 119.
When we begin to see His truths and know our places in the Body, we can all make beautiful honey together.
I believe the ones who have been studying His Torah from the beginning may be the Queens we can learn from. A people who awake and thank Hashem for their very breaths. A chosen people who know more at the age of twelve or thirteen than most of us think we do. I believe Rabbis and His chosen Teachers will enter our Christian assemblies and they will teach us His Feast and their Torah in a way all our digging could never do it justice, and we will weep over what we have made the Gospel. Yes, all of Christianity will weep, and then His people will see Their Messiah Yeshua. They will say, “How did Yeshua/Jesus get in our Torah? And the two shall become one. Humbleness will come. It’s happening before our eyes.
I also believe that some in leadership, both in Christianity and the Torah Observant fellowships, will fall in the coming season if they do not allow others to come in and help them unlearn and relearn. We all must search out a matter and listen to others in authority, and see if what they are saying may be truths we haven’t seen. We cannot get to the point where we think we know it all and can’t be taught anything. Raising my hand.
Proverbs 16:18 says, “A haughty spirit comes before a fall.”
If pride, prosperity, and bickering over things, and especially discrimination against His chosen ones continues through ignorance (Synagogue of satan—etc.,) I believe we will see some big names in Christianity and Christian Torah ministries’ fall while others are being lifted up. I believe, eventually, they too will have complete humbleness. Abba is patient and He is merciful, and He is not a man that He should lie. “The LORD sustains all who fall And raises up all who are bowed down.” Psalms 145:14. We must remember that His people are praying for Ephraim daily. That’s us guys.
“Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt (Corners—Tzitzit) of him who is a Jew, saying, ‘We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.'” Zechariah 8:23 WEB.
Doug Addison recently posted an interesting dream and blog post concerning this titled, “What Does this Tornado Dream Mean for us Now?” Here is a small portion.
“In the dream, I was in a room with many leaders, a tornado was approaching fast and there was no time to react. The tornado entered the room and everything began to rotate clock-wise. I saw a chair floating by as I, too, was being picked up and floating as well. I was about to grab hold of the chair when the Lord spoke audibly to everyone in the room, “Many people have died because they have held onto their chair.”
Let’s stop fighting for our chairs and being assassins. Let’s start knowing our place in the Body. There is a whole list of gifts in Corinthians 12 and 13. Let’s find ours and begin doing it with humility and respect for those around us.
“And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is esteemed, all the members rejoice with it.
And you are a body of Messiah, and members individually.
And Elohim has appointed these in the assembly: firstly emissaries (Apostles), secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, ministrations, kinds of tongues.
Are all emissaries? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?
Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?” 1st Corinthians 12:27-29 ISR.
The greatest gift of all is love. This gift supersedes all we think we know. It transforms. It heals. It gives its very life for the King, just as the drone died for the Queen.
