The Fire of His Kiln

This blog is not about the intro. It’s not about my dad’s dream or sleepiness but somehow all the pieces seemed to fit.

My dad had a dream the other night that was in color, vivid, and bright. He and another man were supposed to be guarding a door. Inside the door was a great feast and everyone was dressed in royal robes with headdresses on. Their robes were bright scarlet, purple, yellow and brilliant in color. He and his fellow guard ended up falling asleep at the door. Later they woke up and his real boss from before he retired came outside and said where were you both? What happened to you all? My dad said, “We fell asleep, but we are back at our post now.” His boss just grinned and went back to the banquet.

Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep.” Matthew 25:5 NASB.

All ten went to sleep.

“Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes.” Luke 12:37 ESV.

The five wise enter the wedding Feast at the first resurrection. The others need more oil.

A servant is one who looks to his master for favor, but a bride looks to her husband for intimacy and affection. All these virgins had oil but five had extra oil. In the Torah the priest had to keep the lights of the Menorah burning and the oil had to be pure and the light could never go out. How do we get this oil and where does it come?

“How I love Your law (Torah)!
It is my meditation all the day.

Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies,
For they are ever mine.

I have more insight than all my teachers,
For Your testimonies are my meditation.

I understand more than the aged,
Because I have observed Your precepts.

I have restrained my feet from every evil way,
That I may keep Your word.

I have not turned aside from Your ordinances,
For You Yourself have taught me.

How sweet are Your words to my taste!
Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

From Your precepts I get understanding;
Therefore I hate every false way.

Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.” Psalms 119:97-105 NASB.

His Word is a lamp and a light and Yeshua was the Word made flesh.

Shortly after my dad told me his dream, a friend sent me this next message that was just too good not to share.

“According to a Jewish legend, at exactly midnight on Shavuot (Pentecost), the heavens open for an instant and God will respond favorably to any prayer that is spoken then. According to one commentator, it’s likely that this story was told to keep children—not to mention sleepy adults—awake and alert during the night’s study session. The origin of the midnight time for prayer and study lies in Psalm 119:62: “At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee.” This psalm is attributed to David, who, according to the Talmud (b. Sukkah 29b), was a notorious insomniac, being satisfied with only “sixty breaths of sleep.”

Staying awake requires not just knowing truth but obeying it. A bride has a wedding planner who is in charge of the bride and a brides maid was the closest woman to the bride and to care for her and encourage her and help her prepare for her wedding day.

If you were a God who wanted to wake people up who would you send to do that job? John came as a voice. Prophets aren’t born, they are built. John was a High Priest and a prophet. Humble servants, teachers, and ministers of His Word are not just born equipped. They are thrown on HIS wheel.

Then I (Jeremiah) went down to the potter’s house, and there he was making something on the wheel. But the vessel that he was making of clay WAS SPOILED in the hand of the potter; so he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make.” Jeremiah 18:2-4.

Soft clay can be smacked and thrown down on the potter’s wheel and reshaped. Once the pot is fired we have a whole different story.

Yes, Hashem told Jeremiah that He knew him before He placed him in the womb and called him to be a prophet to the nations, but Jeremiah was built. If you are unsure of what I am trying to articulate read Lamentations. Most are familiar with a verse that says, “Your mercies are made new each morning,” but what was the prophet saying before all this? He was talking to a people who had not been obedient and had went whoring. I think he may have been describing the curses now that had overtaken Yahweh’s people due to their sins and their lack of keeping His Sabbaths and His Commandments. He was weeping for the Bride. The book of Lamentations is read on the 9th of Av. It begins with the Hebrew word Eicha which means “how?” It is a prophetic response to the destruction of the temple in 586 B.C.E. We also our temples that at times must destruct so that He can breathe new life into us.

“He has walled me in so I cannot escape;     he has weighed me down with chains. Even when I call out or cry for help,     he shuts out my prayer. He has barred my way with blocks of stone;     he has made my paths crooked.

Like a bear lying in wait,     like a lion in hiding,  he dragged me from the path and mangled me     and left me without help.  He drew his bow     and made me the target for his arrows.

He pierced my heart     with arrows from his quiver.  I became the laughingstock of all my people; they mock me in song all day long. He has filled me with bitter herbs     and given me gall to drink.

He has broken my teeth with gravel;     he has trampled me in the dust.  I have been deprived of peace;     I have forgotten what prosperity is.” Lamentations 3:8-17 NIV.

If we are a son or a daughter, He will correct us and shape us on His Potter’s wheel.

Who is man to think that he is the one who can form the clay?

“Will the pot contend with the potter, or the earthenware with the hand that shapes it? Will the clay ask the potter what he is making? or his handiwork say to him, “You have no skill”? (Isaiah 45:9, NEB)

Our Jesus/ Yeshua was placed on that wheel.

“Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.” Hebrews 5:8.

How are Abba’s servants built? They are thrown on the potter’s wheel. Prophets usually haven’t met anyone they cannot relate to. Most of them have been through just about everything you can think of. Have you ever noticed that Elijah just arrives on the scene and we read nothing about his background? He just boldly confronts kings and commands the sky to stay shut and slaughters over 400 false prophets of Baal. How do you get such tenacity? Not by being pampered and coddled.

Prophets were fearful of the call. They said things like “I can’t speak. I’m too young. I am the least in my father’s house. I am a fig farmer. I stutter.

They knew where prophets went. It was usually to oppose a priest—a king—a wicked leader with a booming voice from Adonai and then off to the prison, death, a cave, a lion’s den. They were built to confront those no one else wanted to confront. A stiff necked people. An Ahab. A Jezebel. A Saul who had not slain the wicked king he was ordered to slay.

Go tell my servant David, the one who carried a giants head on a pole that he is the man full of sin Nathan.

Fast for 40 days and climb a mountain only to go back again because the people have been in idolatry and have been worshipping a calf and cry out for Yah to spare those same people who said, “Where is this Moses?” Yes, this Moses whose staff parted the sea. This Moses who cried out for their very lives. This Moses who was fashioned in the desert away from his family and home on the Potter’s wheel.

The burden of the word of the Lord Adonai—that’s how their letters were started. It is a burden to feel what the Father feels. It is a burden to see what the Father sees.

How do you build a man or women that have no regard to whether people will like the sound of the words they use? How do you build a person who doesn’t care if you never speak to them again?

Possibly the Potter wants such a person to be shunned by those esteemed. The ones in the important circles. How does HaShem build and shape a vessel that will speak what He tells them to speak even if their closest friends and companions walk away? You cause them to be loved by people who they love with so much love it bubbles up inside their soul, and then you have those same people reject them, crush them, defame their character and trust. You bring people across their path that are so precious to them and you turn those same confidants into barking dogs that bite and snarl and growl at the messenger or give them a Judas kiss. Their words are twisted—they looked for ways to catch Yeshua in sin. They watched him like a spider. They accused him of casting out demons by the prince of demons.

“They watched him closely in an effort to trap him in something he might say.” Luke 11:54 ISV.

“But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men, and because He did not need anyone to testify concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in man.” John 2:23-24 NASB.

How do you build something that has no concern for money? No regard for titles? No affection for the esteem of man? You strip them of everything they own. You cause them to live by a brook and let ravens feed them. You send them to a widow with a few drops of oil and a handful of flour. You leave them naked and bare and they see all the material as refuse—worthless. Mother Teresa could not be bought—she had her eyes on a different prize. The apostles could not be bought. Oh, Saints do not look to store up treasures here that can bring no joy. Junk you have to dust and worry about thieves stealing. Titles that only bring esteem from men.

How do you build someone who has more compassion for the sick than most? A person who will fast and pray and believe with someone who is suffering horribly? You give them sores all over their body as they scrape the discharge with some broken pottery. You blind them for three days. You give them a thorn in their flesh, a hip out of socket, a barren womb and a taste of suffering that most cannot imagine.

When I first came out of an attack on my health and retired my cane, I sat outside a big meetings one night—a meeting where the mega church parking lot filled up and any person coming in who was in a wheelchair, walker, or using a cane, I asked if I could pray for them. I cried with them. I knew what it was like to be sick unto death. I would have never had that compassion if I had not gone through it.

How do you build someone with a grief for sin that causes them to weep when they see sin? Most the people that I know who have been forgiven much love much. When a person sees a woman’s breast exposed and grieves over it instead of lusting. When we see men and women lusting after flesh pots that we used to partake of and our heart doesn’t want to point a finger but instead grabs a cloak and covers their nakedness and cries out for their soul to be healed.

Moses looked at his sister who had slandered him and “Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, “O God, heal her, I pray!” Numbers 12:13 NASB.

Awe, the Potter’s wheel.

When the Father speaks to me and humbles me it is usually through people that I overlooked or thought “unimportant” A person I judged by their titles or lack of them. Have you ever had the Father make you feel the way Jeremiah felt above?

He said he was made a laughing stock—mocked.

I write these next words not for pity—not for prayer, although I’ll take any I can get, but to show you something.

How do you make a marriage become so one in the Spirit you both think and act and speak the same? Most every night my husband prays with me—many mornings as well, but at night he lays his hand on my stomach that refuses to work in divine order due to gastroparesis, and he speaks life over it. He watches it blow up like a balloon and he sees my tears and with those same tears he knocks, he asks, he is persistent like the widow who went before the unjust judge and like Moses he cries, “Heal my wife!” One night as he prayed I thought of all the healthy and unhealthy wives who never hear such compassion from their husbands. I thought about how loved I am. How our very marriage has been placed on the Potter’s wheel for such a time as this and every trial, every valley of darkness has brought us closer. For some, it causes bitterness and division. My husband waited twelve years for me. Every year he prayed for a wife and waited. He went on few dates because he did not feel they were the one. In the twelfth year, a woman at his assembly said, “Jeff the Father just showed me a field with beautiful flowers and there the sun was shining down on a blondish brown haired woman that the Father is “molding” for you.” Eve or Chavah was fashioned and constructed from the side of Adam. The Father was shaping me into a wife for my husband.

“So with the potter sitting at his labor, revolving the wheel with his feet. He is always concerned for his products and turns them out in quantity.

With his hands, he molds the clay, and with his feet softens it. His care is for proper coloring, and he keeps watch on the fire of his kiln.” The Wisdom Books 38:29-30. NAB.

He is shaping you into just the right vessel for His use. It hurts at times to be smashed and remolded into shape, thrown on the wheel and placed into a fiery pit, but in the end, He will fashion us into a vessel He sees fit to use.

“But now, Hashem, Thou art Avinu (Our Father); we are the chomer (clay), and Thou, Yotzreinu (our Potter, Maker, Creator); and we all are the ma’aseh (work) of Thy yad (hand.)” Isaiah 64:8 OJB.

The Radicals

Under attack? Every time my husband and I send out a newsletter we can cut the tension in the room with a knife, but is that even worthy of mentioning?

This week we elected a new leader over our great nation America, and he is already under attack. Many have even taken to the streets in violence and anger, others more peaceful, but still not in support.

This message is about radical men and women who are arriving on the scene. These folks won’t even blink in the face of hatred, rejection, Cancer, fear, demons, and death. They’ve been training for this season their whole lives. They’re tired of their voices being duct taped. They are tired of being politically correct. They are tired in general of being lied to.

Have you ever said something that caused pain that you regretted saying? Paul says the opposite. He says he is glad it caused pain. Let’s look at that.

I opened up to a passage from 2nd Corinthians 7, where Paul begins by saying in verse 8 “if I caused you pain by my letter, I do not regret it. Even if I did regret it before — for I do see that that letter did distress you, though only for a short time — now I rejoice not because you were pained, but because the pain led you to turn back to God.”

These men back then, and women would go out and preach knowing that the crowds would get in fights–riots even.  The police and guards would show up and beat them with rods, stripe their backs and stone them to death. Paul saw the 3rd heaven after they stoned him to death. This didn’t stop him from preaching. Stephen died by stoning while preaching the truth to the people. They placed their fingers in their ears to try and drown out the truth. This violence was not happening over a man named Donald Trump. This rioting and violence was not over a fleshly man placed in office. No, this was over King Jesus/ Yeshua. He and His disciples exposed their crooked leadership, turned over their money tables, and spoke parables where the crooked leaders were the main characters.

These men in the Bible were pierced with the sword. They were sawn in half, crucified, and boiled in pots. One man told the king he shouldn’t be sleeping with his brother’s wife and his head ended up on a silver platter. These men would get beat half to death for casting out demons and land in prison and on one occasion they (Paul and Silas) got the jailers and their families to become believers and baptized them. They said things like, “I’m ready to die. I’m ready to be poured out like a drink offering.” A prophet named Agabus warns Paul that if he goes on his trip, he’ll be bound and put in prison. Yes, the voice of the prophet didn’t end when Yeshua/ Jesus came, nor after he ascended. Let’s look at what he tells Paul and Paul’s answer.

“As we were staying there for some days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. And coming to us, he took Paul’s belt and bound his own feet and hands, and said, “This is what the Holy Spirit says: ‘In this way the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’” When we had heard this, we as well as the local residents began begging him not to go up to Jerusalem. Then Paul answered, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” Acts 21:10-13.

Paul is not upset that his letter made people mad! He was not going to stop preaching the Word if the folks didn’t agree with him. He did not stop writing letters, these letters that you and I read — letters birthed from his prison cell. He did not cry and say “woe is me.” I’ll just quit. I’ll quit the assembly and hide in my cell. The people are against my message. They’ve already stoned me and placed me in stocks–beat me. I’ll just give up.’

NO! These men were radical and they had spines of steel and an anointing that came from being crushed.

Oh, how many of us have the guts to pray to be crushed like an  olive or a rose to get the oil out and the sweet perfume?

10 Things You May not Know About the Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments, Writings, or Statements, come straight out of the Torah (Law) Jesus/Yeshua said: “If you love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15.

  1. These ten are part of the 613 laws given to the children of Israel.
  2. They are about our thoughts, speech, and actions towards G-d, others and our parents.
  3. Several Biblical translations says “Thou shalt not kill,” this is not a reflection of the truer meaning which is better translated as murder. Murdering someone and killing someone is two different things. As Rabbi Dovid Bendory put it, “killing” itself need not have a moral context — a soldier kills in battle, an intended murder victim kills in self-defense, a drug dealer kills his competition, and a doctor kills a patient. Whether “killing” carries criminal culpability (the drug dealer), civil culpability (the doctor), or is righteous (the intended murder victim) depends on the context and circumstances.”

Murder is something premeditated upon or something evil, where killing could happen by means of your car striking another car. In the Bible, they had a place called a city of refuge where a person who had accidently killed someone could flee for protection. In the Commandments concerning this topic of murder and killings, it says that a person who murders someone intentionally with hatred and evil in their heart must be killed. This is righteous killing according to the Torah.

  1. The commandment to not bear false witness against your neighbor is one that we see happening in the case of wicked Jezebel who swore Naboth had lied against the King and Yahweh. This caused an innocent man to die. Bearing false witness and lying can be two different things. Let me explain. If you tell your 80-year-old grandmother you like her curtains after she questions you about them, but secretly find them too flashy for your taste, this is not bearing false witness, and this is making your grandmother feel good in a matter that causes no one harm. When we translate these into our own beliefs we take away from the seriousness of them. If you are speaking about a person in a negative light and it causes them to be isolated or treated differently in your assembly or your own family, you are causing harm. Also, in the manner of bearing false witness, you can be guilty of not saying anything to defend a righteous person while listening to others bear falsely or paint the person in a negative light. This too is a sin.
  2. This next Commandment on Sabbath keeping is one that makes a person shake their head at what has happened concerning it. If you have studied the Feast at any length you realize that this set apart day cannot be changed and Paul’s words from Galatians have been misconstrued by ignorant men. I could spend all day here but most already believe that Jesus/ Yeshua arose on Sunday and therefore we now worship on Sunday or they believe getting caught up with a day is bondage and a ritual. The Father said to remember it and keep it holy. Did He change His mind? No.

Remember the Sabbath and keep it Kadosh (Holy). Kadosh means something set aside and separated for a certain time. The same meaning of this word is what is spoken at a wedding when the groom says to the bride, “You are betrothed to me.” The Sabbath was made for man and it was never changed to Sun-day. No one in the Bible had church on Sunday. The Creator picked one day and set it aside and called it holy. After Jesus arose from the grave and ascended, the apostles and men and women of G-d kept the Sabbath. In the new kingdom, all will keep the Sabbath. It is a rehearsal for our wedding day. A rehearsal for the real deal. The earth and everything in it requires rest. I want you to look at a word we read over and over again and that word is “Custom.” According to Strong’s, this is something fixed forever. Appointed (1), customs (5), due (1), fixed order (1), fixed patterns (1).

Let’s look at a few verses concerning this.

“As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbaths he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,” Acts 17:2. “Every Sabbath he (Paul) reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.” Acts 18:4. Never do we read the men of G-d telling the Greeks or Jews that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday, nor do we read of any of them starting a Sunday “church” and giving it a man-made name.

“After setting sail from Paphos, Paul and his companions came to Perga in Pamphylia, where John left them to return to Jerusalem. And from Perga, they traveled inland to Pisidian Antioch, where they entered the synagogue on the Sabbath and sat down. After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the synagogue leaders sent word to them: “Brothers, if you have a word of encouragement for the people, please speak.”… Acts 13:13-15. It was their “custom” and we see Jesus/ Yeshua kept it perfectly. “Then Jesus came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. As was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath.” Luke 4:16.

Acts 13:42 (NKJV) “So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.”

Acts 13:44 “On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of Yahweh.”

Now let’s look at the New Kingdom.

“For just as the new heavens and the new earth

Which I make will endure before Me,” declares the LORD,

“So your offspring and your name will endure.

“And it shall be from new moon to new moon

And from sabbath to sabbath,

All mankind will come to bow down before Me,” says the LORD.” Isaiah 66:22-23.

  1. The word Law or Torah means to teach or to instruct. We are G-d’s children and we need instructions. If you saw your child eating trash or playing in the street, you would instruct them.
  2. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalms 119:105. This WORD mentioned that lights the way is none other than the Torah. Yeshua/ Jesus was the Word made flesh. If you quote this scripture and were made to memorize it years ago, I beg you to ponder all the verses in Psalms 119. This is where you will learn much wisdom and knowledge about the instructions for life, marriage and yes, eternity.

  1. Many religious groups have been at war over the law (Torah) and some claim it was done away with, while others claim we should be Torah observant and keep it all– others wish to exclude sacrifices. This causes arguments and people get very unbalanced. Some venture towards a hyper-grace belief and basically live however they want with a belief that they will be forgiven. (Once saved always saved) Others run to keep all the Torah and begin to wear headscarf’s, tallit’s, grow beards and not even drive their cars after sundown. Often, Christians who proclaim that the law was done away with, or that they no longer need to keep it, end up in jail over keeping a portion of it or even quoting it–never realizing that they were.
  2. Once we engrave it on our hearts we have a fear of breaking it because we love our Father and His Son who died for us. “He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me …” (John 14:21)

“Now by this, we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” (I John 2:3-6). If you are married and love your husband, you want to please him. If you are intimate with him and honor him, you will not want to break his trust. Some people marry for lust, money, or for what they can get out of it. They may go through the motions of obeying and honoring, but their hearts may be far from their husbands. The Father told his people that they honored him with lip service but their hearts were far away. Some only marry for material wealth, fame, attention, a way out of a bad home life, and so on. However, the wife who loves her husband will be faithful and true because she does not want to be given a certificate of divorce and sent away in shame. And that is exactly what HaShem did with His people, but He is merciful.

“The Lord said to me, “Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another man and is an adulteress. Love her as the Lord loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the sacred raisin cakes.” Hosea 3:1.

We just read how we can know if we love our husband or not. “He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me …” (John 14:21)

“Pursue peace with all, and pursue apartness without which no one shall see the Master.” Hebrews 12:14 ISR.

Apartness. Separating from the world and the things of the world in order to live for eternity with our Father and His Son. Ponder the Ten this week. See if you can recite them without looking at your Bibles.

Blaspheming the Holy Set Apart Spirit

Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter;  but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— Mark 3:28-29 CJB.

NEVER HAS FORGIVENESS. . . . Sigh. Even Peter who denied Jesus/ Yeshua three times was forgiven and used mightily. Even Jonah who was disobedient to go to Nineveh gets another chance. Even Moses, who Yahweh was going to slay is spared when his wife circumcises their son.

Every time I read this verse I shudder. How many of you have read this verse and had fear that you might have committed this sin unknowingly?

I want to dig into this topic deeper.

Jesus/ Yeshua was accused of blasphemy in the book of Mark.

“Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” And Jesus said, “I am; and you shall see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”  Tearing his clothes, the high priest *said, “What further need do we have of witnesses?  You have heard the blasphemy; how does it seem to you?” Mark 14:61-63.

Now, I am a Word girl. If someone is posting an article on Facebook or a blog site and they are teaching using only one verse or none, I am very leery of those post and those people. We need scriptures and Old Passages that line up with new passages–two or three witnesses at least. And beware of those who teach doctrines of men by using books like the Book of Enoch and other books of antiquity and rarely use the Bible. You only need one book for sound doctrine, but others can help.

The above passage from Mark refers to a passage in the Torah (Law).

“’Moreover, the one who blasphemes the name of the LORD shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him. The alien as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.” Leviticus 24:16. The religious leaders equated Yeshua saying “He was the Messiah” blasphemous because they did not believe him. He showed them by opening the eyes of the blind and raising the dead, among other things, but they were not convinced and even if they were, they were jealous. I quoted Lev. 24:16 but now let’s look at verse 15. “Say to the Israelites: ‘Anyone who curses their God will be held responsible . . .”

Curses—hmmm. That word also means to blaspheme.

Proverbs 14:31 “He that oppresses the poor blasphemeth his Maker; But he that is gracious unto the needy honoureth Him.”

We need to give more to the poor and especially the members of our own households. Let’s go back to Jesus words.

“The scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons.” And He called them to Himself and began speaking to them in parables, “How can satan cast out satan? “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. . .

“Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.” Mark 3:22-30.

Yeshua had the Most Holy Spirit living in Him, The Spirit of His Father Yahweh.

This can be difficult. At this time, more than ever before, we have division in our nation and division in the Body of Messiah. We have division in our families and homes and assemblies. What does that look like? Confusion. Division seems to be everywhere. Jesus was telling the people that His power came from above, not from demons and not from Beelzebub.

Who is Beelzebub?

Lord of the flies. Originally the name of a Philistine God.

Now, let’s gather a little more information. You see the Israelites would make fun of the Canaanite god Baal by calling him Beelzebub (Lord of flies). It was a mocking nickname against the pagan people’s god. So they were making fun of Yeshua/ Jesus. They were not saying it was from a fallen angel named satan that he got his power, but from this pagan god Beelzebub who was only powerful enough to be a ruler over flies. Let me show you a bit more. There is a book called The Testament of Solomon. In this book that is dated over a thousand years after King Solomon’s death, so he could not have written it. . . Beelzebub appears as prince of the demons and says that he was formerly a leading heavenly angel who was associated with a star named Venus or yes, you guessed it, Lucifer. Lucifer is a Latin word that was snuck into our Hebrew/ Greek text. The word Lucifer is taken from the Latin Vulgate, which translates הֵילֵל as Lucifer, meaning “the morning star.” Even Jesus/Yeshua is described as the bright morning star. When we get caught up in “the adversary” we miss the true message of blasphemy. So much Hellenism has crept into our doctrines.

“Paradise Lost is an epic poem written by the 17th-century English poet John Milton (1608–1674). The first version, published in 1667, consisted of ten books with over ten thousand lines of verse. In this poem from the 1600’s John Milton gave Satan’s lieutenant the name Beelzebub. This is how things creep into our beliefs. This is how people get off on a rabbit trail, but what is blasphemy?

Have we been guilty of accusing a miracle from the Father and His Holy Spirit to be false?

We can turn on the television and see big name ministers grabbing people and telling them to take Holy Ghost Fire!

They lay hands on them and they fall backwards. With careful glasses on I went through my Bible about ten years ago looking for people who Jesus and His disciples laid hands on that went backwards, but I could find no one falling backwards in the spirit except the Roman soldiers who came to arrest him. Not one person in the Bible  could I find who was coined as being “slain” in the Spirit. This becomes difficult because I do not want to accuse any men or women of G-d of casting out demons or healing the sick by the prince of demons or make fun . . . at the same time I do not want any part of the Kundalini spirit or a false spirit. I do not know the hearts of men. The Father searches the hearts of men and He knows.

Now, if the men and women in the Bible didn’t fall backwards, then how did they fall?

And Abram fell on his face…” Genesis 17:3.

“For it came about when the flame went up from the altar toward heaven that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. When Manoah and his wife saw this, they fell on their faces to the ground.” Judges 13:20.

“Then David lifted up his eyes and saw the angel of the LORD standing between earth and heaven, with his drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, covered with sackcloth, fell on their faces.” 1st Chronicles 21:16.

“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to Him!” When the disciples heard this, they fell face down in terror. Matthew 17:5-6.

When all the people saw it, they fell facedown and said, “Yahweh, He is God! Yahweh, He is God!” 1st Kings 18:39.

“Moshe and Aharon left the assembly, went to the entrance of the tent of meeting and fell on their faces; and the glory of Adonai appeared to them.” Numbers 20:6 CJB.

“This brilliance around him looked like a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day. This was how the appearance of the glory of Adonai looked. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of someone speaking.” Ezekiel 1:28 CJB.

Not one verse of anyone being slain in the Spirit. What does the word slain mean?

Webster defines the word Slain as . . .

  1. to kill by violence.
  2. to destroy; extinguish.
  3. to kill or murder.

Here is the verse of the soldiers

“Judas then, having received the Roman cohort and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns and torches and weapons. So Jesus, knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, went forth and said to them, “Whom do you seek?” They answered Him, “Jesus the Nazarene.” He said to them, “I am He.” And Judas also, who was betraying Him, was standing with them. So when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew backwards and fell to the ground.” John 18:3-6.

When I was led to this verse on blasphemy the other day I had a great and awesome (Awe) Fear of the Lord Adonai come over me. What if I have blasphemed your Holy Ruach Spirit I thought to myself? Being raised in an Assemblies of God church, I have been “slain” in the spirit many times, but the question is what Spirit? Again, I don’t want to blaspheme, but I think we need to be very careful today. I have fallen backwards several times. I also have spoken in a prayer language. But what I want to ask you is, how can we know if this Spirit is from Him or some other spirit?

We are told to test the spirits, but I don’t see this being done much anymore.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1.

Testing the spirits is not just about falling in the floor, it’s about testing what you hear and yes, this blog I am writing. You should test every teacher’s words to see if they line up with HIS Word, not a pastor or teacher’s words. Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is a fearful thing and so is lying to it.

One couple in the Bible lied to the Holy Spirit and were struck dead.

Why has the Adversary so filled your heart that you lie to the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) and keep back some of the money you received for the land? Before you sold it, the property was yours; and after you sold it, the money was yours to use as you pleased. So what made you decide to do such a thing? You have lied not to human beings but to God!” Acts 5:3-4 CJB. The next verse talks about this man dropping dead and then his wife dropped dead. Fear and dread filled the hearts of men and women, not hyper grace.

In John chapter 10, the Jews pick up stones to stone Jesus with. He tells them, “You have seen me do many good deeds that reflect the Father’s power; for which one of these deeds are you stoning me?”   The Judeans replied, “We are not stoning you for any good deed, but for blasphemy — because you, who are only a man, are making yourself out to be God .”  Yeshua answered them, “Isn’t it written in your Torah, ‘I have said, “You people are Elohim’ ”? If he called ‘elohim’ the people to whom the word of Elohim was addressed (and the Tanakh cannot be broken),  then are you telling the one whom the Father set apart as holy and sent into the world, ‘You are committing blasphemy,’ just because I said, ‘I am a son of Elohim’?

“If I am not doing deeds that reflect my Father’s power, don’t trust me.  But if I am, then, even if you don’t trust me, trust the deeds; so that you may understand once and for all that the Father is united with me, and I am united with the Father.” 10:31-38 CJB.

Jesus said even if you don’t trust me, trust the deeds.

I leave you with a few questions and welcome all responses.

What do you think blaspheming the Holy Set Apart Spirit is? How do you think a person would know if they had?

Same Pair of Shoes?

My husband has a hanger with slots on the back of his closet door filled with shoes, but he usually wears the same two or three pairs. If he is going for a walk he wear tennis shoes, around the house slip-on loafers, and then he has dressier shoes for meetings and dinner engagements.
Shakespeare said, “”All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances…”
My husband’s shoes reminded me of this.

We enter rooms, and we wear different shoes. For instance, if we are conversing with our child’s teacher, or our pastor/ Rabbi, Affluent business owner, or doctor we may act differently than when we are around some of our High School friends or colleagues. We may act even more different around our children and our spouses. We take a pair of shoes out of the rack and put them on. At least some people do, but what about Jesus/Yeshua. . . What kind of shoes did He wear? Did he change his shoes for anyone?
Did he act differently in front of the elite Teachers and preachers of his day?
“Woe to you Pharisees, because you love the most important seats in the synagogues and respectful greetings in the marketplaces. “Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves, which people walk over without knowing it.”
One of the experts in the law answered him, “Teacher, when you say these things, you insult us also.” Luke 11:43-45 NIV.

Jesus still had on his sandals of truth. He was still busy “insulting” people by telling them the truth. He wasn’t worried about whether the truth of His Father would go down smoothly or if those standing around would accept him.
They said he cast out demons by the one in charge of them.
“And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “by the prince of demons he casts out the demons.” Mark 3:22 ESV.
How did he answer them? “How can Satan drive out Satan?”

Did he back down and remove his shoes and slip on some loafers when he was around these leaders? “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You serpents, you brood of vipers, how will you escape the sentence of hell? Matthew 23:29,33 NASB.
No, doesn’t look that way.

What sort of shoes did he wear around his family? We all like to let our hair down in front of our families and friends, but what about our beliefs and their beliefs? Should we ignore and sit quietly while some have been persuaded by false doctrine and proceed to sit under those teaching such messages? Would Jesus/ Yeshua have compromised His Fathers instructions to fit in and become someone his family or friends approved of?
“When His family heard this, they set out to restrain Him, because they said, “He’s out of His mind.” They said, “He has gone mad!” Mark 3:21 HCS.
Let’s look at more verses about His family.

“Someone said to Him, “Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You.” But Jesus answered, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, “Behold My mother and My brothers! “For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:47-50.
What about His best men and those he taught?
“After this, many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him. So Jesus said to the Twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” John 6:66-67 ESV. No soft words here.

He had the same shoes on when he was around family, friends, and the elite. He had the same shoes on when he was talking to the demon-possessed, the prostitute, and the blind. He even bent down to wash the feet of those he called his disciples. His own brothers were very suspicious of him. Let’s look at that.
“But when the Jewish Festival of Tabernacles was near, Jesus’ brothers said to him, “Leave Galilee and go to Judea, so that your disciples there may see the works you do. No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.” For even his own brothers did not believe in him.” John 7:3-5.

His own family did not believe in him. The ones he was trying to show the truth to said he was full of demons. The words he spoke were twisted. The men in charge of HIS FATHER’S house said he was a drunk and a friend of sinners and that He was mad, crazy even.
“And the Pharisees and their scribes were grumbling at His disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?” Luke 5:30.
“The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Behold, a gluttonous man, and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Luke 7:34.

Then the Pharisees went and plotted together how they might trap Him in what He said.” Matthew 22:15 NASB.
He wasn’t taking his shoes off and acting like someone else in front of the religious people of his day. He had no time for fake appearances and polished shoes. He was reclining at the table having a glass of wine and talking to the people most deemed sinners. The ones they pointed fingers at, whispered about in their circles and isolated because they just weren’t as perfect as them. Why would they eat and drink wine with that lot? No righteous person would? The Son of God did and he didn’t change into some loafers for it. He kept the truth right there and the love. Balance.
A couple things I have noticed in my time in and out of “church” circles is this thing that doesn’t get mentioned much. It’s something so precious and yet it is rarely brought up in conversation. It’s unity. Read the passage below slowly.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brothers to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Coming down upon the beard,
Even Aaron’s beard,
Coming down upon the edge of his robes.
It is like the dew of Hermon
Coming down upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the LORD commanded the blessing—life forever.” Psalm 133:1-3.

Sometimes peace comes later after the food is digested and the eyes and ears are opened.
This man named Jesus/ Yeshua was a Jew from the tribe of Judah. He did not need validation. With his mouth closed like a Lamb going to slaughter, he knew his time was coming. HIS MOMENT! He knew that very soon he would be sitting at the right hand of His Father.
Are you wearing Torah shoes and shoes that are shod with peace but also with love and obedience? You may be hated. You may be ignored. You may not be popular or even taken seriously. Many in your circle may leave because the word is too hard to swallow, but that’s okay, as you can see you’re in good company.
Change your shoes if you must. Put on some bright green Peter Pan slippers when you get down to the floor with a child to play. Put on some soft furry house shoes when you watch a movie with the kids. Wrap a pair of red sassy heels around your ankle when you go out with your husband or a pair of water shoes for the lake but continue to be who you are and announce it without shame. And more importantly, take off your shoes when you see a man who has none.

“Stand firm therefore,HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:14-17 NASB.

Introductory Chapter on Hell

Many are not aware that the apostle Paul wrote around 1/3rd of the Newer Testament, but not once did he mention hell. Are the lost ones who died last year burning right now? Many theologians say yes they are. They even teach that someone who died in the year, say, 346 A.D have been burning ever since. It’s 2016 folks. That’s a lot of torment! If that is truly what happens shouldn’t we be snatching people with dire warnings? In part 3 of Doctrines of Demons, I will expound on two topics– heaven and hell.

Hell is a fascinating topic and one in my opinion that has been misconstrued more than any other biblical doctrine. It is my hope that after reading these chapters you may acquire revelation and discernment about a place that many of us envision as a lake robust with flames licking and sweltering the most hideous humans to ever walk the earth. Yes, it often has given men comfort to envision the likes of Hitler, Nero, Osama Bin Laden and every other evil dictator engulfed in fiery torment. Most all of us have seen a child molester or an evil murderer, animal torturer or rapist and longed secretly in our hearts that they burn in hell forever and EVER. Yet, when it comes to envisioning ourselves do we gauge the meter in our favor? What about our stubborn uncle whose been known to drink too much and at times curses like a sailor? Or perhaps we have a son or daughter who is an all-around good person, they are caring, loving and take in strays for pets, but they’re just not sure G-d exist? Will they too burn forever in this lake of fire and brimstone?
Are the lost ones who died last year burning right now? Many theologians say “yes, they are.” They even teach that someone who died in the year 346 A.D has been burning ever since. It’s 2016 folks! That’s a lot of torment. If that is truly what is happening shouldn’t we be snatching people with dire warnings? I think most of us have seen from the prior teaching on heaven that more than likely no one is burning yet.

However, what happens after the judgment? Think about the person you met at your job that you loved, became friends with, who never did understand the Bible, was raised Hindu, Buddhist, or trapped in bondage by a religious system. Perhaps, they just had a mixed opinion on religions… Now picture them dying in a car crash. Were they instantly burning in flames and torment? Most teach they will go to hell forever because they have been given free will. The message I heard repeatedly was one that insinuated that G-d does not want any to suffer BURNING in hell, and that is why He sent His Son to die. When people reject His Son they willfully are making a choice and choosing to not accept Him.

There are over 7 billion people on this planet and every day over 150,000 deaths occur. Statistics show one child every 5 seconds dies of hunger. What’s that have to do with hell? A lot. Jesus/ Yeshua tells a story about sheep and goats in Mathew chapter twenty-five, and here is a portion of what he says.“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was Hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the ETERNAL FIRE prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ “Then they will go away to ETERNAL PUNISHMENT, but the righteous to ETERNAL LIFE.” This whole passage says nothing about asking Jesus into your heart or going to church every week. It says He is going to judge a people by their actions.

Many people think that everyone has heard and knows about Yeshua/ Jesus. I mean most people have a computer, right? Wrong and only about 35 % of the world has internet access. The numbers are staggering when it comes to statistics of people reached with the Gospel. One site explains that 86 % of Muslims, Buddhist, and Hindus do not know a single Christian, not even one. NOT EVEN ONE . . .  The numbers also suggest that there may be as many as two billion people who have never heard of Jesus/ Yeshua and His words that bring LIFE and life more abundantly. Will those ignorant people be held accountable? Will they burn in hell forever or until the ages? Even the most famous scripture on salvation says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NIV.

Perish, according to Merriam-Webster, “Perish= to die or be killed…to disappear or be destroyed…to cease to exist’. So which one is it? Is it death or everlasting torment?

Yes, what will happen to the people in other countries who know nothing about Jesus/ Yeshua Messiah, but instead are taught Islam, Hindu and other religions of this world from birth? What about a faithful Rabbi who loves G-d’s Word but has not been awakened yet to Yeshua/ Jesus as the Messiah? Will he too be tormented forever? When Jesus/Yeshua was beaten unrecognizable and crucified with common thieves did He say, “Father may these people burn forever in flames for what they have done to me?” Or did He say, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do” Luke 23:34” KJV. I saw a man on television this year who had been run out of his home with his family and fled to the mountains with nothing due to the Terrorist group known as ISIS. He was in tears while looking at the camera in the words of Yeshua he said, “Forgive them for they know not what they do”.

I have heard so many things taught on hell, many of them have made me shudder. The most recent was a video made by a young girl who says Jesus took her to hell and that she saw demons cutting and stabbing people and tormenting them. She painted pictures of all the sights she experienced in this place called hell. She saw men on crucifixion stakes with vices griping their private parts and she had painted blood coming from this area in her drawings. These were men who had committed adultery or had lustful sins of the flesh, she explained they would be tormented forever. What many have described as hell is so fascinating to me because much of it cannot be found in verse. Not only that, but I hear people proclaiming hell and how others are going to burn if they don’t accept Jesus? Yeshua, and yet they never seem worried that they might go there. No, it never pertains to their condition– as if they are Mother Teresa. Have you ever sat and pondered just what a person burning forever would look like, let alone feel like? Whenever, I have brought this topic up in the past I was met with a shrug of the shoulders and a proclamation of, “It’s their fault, they should get saved!”

My husband, a retired police officer, was off duty in his police car, headed to the gym one evening when he came upon an accident. A semi-tractor trailer had rear-ended a vehicle on the expressway and the car was engulfed in flames. My husband got out of his car and the truck driver was in a panic, his fire extinguisher had done nothing to save the man in the car. He had rear-ended a corrections officer and rounds of ammo had started going off in what was left of the trunk, even though the trunk was literally gone. The reason the man was hysterical was he had watched this man burn to a char, screaming in agony and could do nothing to get him out of the car. By the time my husband got there, he was long gone. “That horrific torture is just part of the package when you don’t accept Christ”, many evangelists will tell you with a grin on their face. As if they are holier than thou and have greatly surpassed it by saying a prayer of salvation and yet the passage we just read in Yeshua’s own Words said that they were going because they did not feed the hungry, clothe the naked and so forth. Sadly, these same men teach that a 15-year-old boy in Asia just didn’t get lucky enough to be born into a Christian nation. Or their cousin Tom is just too hard-hearted and deserves such hell. Yes, they deserve to burn in flames forever, they exclaim.

Did you know that Hell is not mentioned in the Older Testament? Not even once. We will get to that shortly. And why didn’t the Apostle Paul, who wrote 1/3rd of The Newer Testament, ever mention hell or warn us of it? If you were given the ability to teach people and write to the churches wouldn’t you warn them that there was an everlasting burning hell? At least one time? Could there be more going on that we’ve overlooked? Let’s go further.

Many in leadership told me of how G-d was a just G-d and did not want any to enter hell, but instead gave them a means of escape through His Son Jesus/ Yeshua. When Yeshua began his ministry he was announced with this description given by John the Baptist, ““I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit AND FIRE” Matthew 3:11 NIV. What is this fire? So first John was to immerse them in the water (Mikvah), then Yeshua would baptize them with the Holy Ruach Spirit and fire. This fire is mentioned over and over in the Bible, but most of the time you probably have not noticed it, unless you are a careful reader because this type of fire doesn’t get preached much from America’s pulpits.

Let’s begin this journey into hell. If you have never studied Augustine’s early 5th-century manuscript entitled City of God or Dante Alighieri’s, Divine Comedy, you may not be aware that many of the images for our beloved design of hell come from their works and others. Let’s take a peek.

Dante Alighieri wrote in the 14th century an epic poem called, “Divine Comedy” commonly referred to as Dante’s Inferno. In this book, he travels on a journey through hell. The poem is divided into three parts, Inferno (Hell), Purgatorio (Purgatory), and Paradiso (Paradise)— “Allegorically, the Inferno represents the Christian soul seeing sin for what it really is, and the three beasts represent three types of sin: the self-indulgent, the violent, and the malicious. These three types of sin also provide the three main divisions of Dante’s Hell: Upper Hell, outside the city of Dis, for the four sins of indulgence (lust, gluttony, avarice, anger); Circle 7 for the sins of violence; and Circles 8 and 9 for the sins of malice (fraud and treachery). Added to these are two unlike categories that are specifically spiritual: Limbo, in Circle 1, contains the virtuous pagans who were not sinful but were ignorant of Christ, and Circle 6 contains the heretics who contradicted the doctrine and confused the spirit of Christ. The circles number 9, with the addition of Satan completing the structure of 9 + 1 = 10” Information taken from Okey- Wicksteed, Divine Comedy, “Notes to Dante’s Inferno…

For over 700 years, millions of people have read Dante’s tale of hell and these levels of fire that increase due to wickedness. Many have conjured up a photograph in their brain of what hell is by different mediums such as art, theater, poetry and literature that’s been presented to us for centuries. However, we will look at the verses about hell given in The Bible more closely and compare verses and topics throughout this teaching to get a deeper understanding. Multitudes of ministers and storytellers have described this place to us but were they passing on what had been taught to them? Dante’s gory story of flaming contrived souls helped Christendom and the Catholic Church reinvent hell and a place called purgatory painlessly. The next two quotes from two famous men, Thomas Aquinas, and Augustine explain how the blessed in heaven will see the suffering of the damned.

Augustine “They who shall enter into [the] joy [of the Lord] shall know what is going on outside in the outer darkness . . . The saints’. . . knowledge, which shall be great, shall keep them acquainted . .. with the eternal sufferings of the lost.” [The City of God, Book 20, Chapter 22,

Thomas Aquinas “In order that the happiness of the saints may be more delightful to them and that they may render more copious thanks to God for it, they are allowed to see perfectly the sufferings of the damned So that they may be urged the more to praise God. . .The saints in heaven know distinctly all that happens. . .to the damned. [Summa Theologica, Third Part, Supplement, Question XCIV, “Of the Relations of the Saints Towards the Damned,” First Article, “Whether the Blessed in Heaven Will See the Sufferings of the Damned. . .”]

These quotes are more than likely derived from Isaiah chapter 66:23-24, which says, “From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me,” says the Lord. “And they will go out and look on the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; the worms that eat them will not die, the fire that burns them will not be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”

Since most of Christendom do not celebrate the Sabbath as G-d commanded, nor do they follow the New Moon’s or Feast days as commanded by Yeshua/ Jesus, it seems irrelevant to include this teaching in their brimstone theology, but, of course, it is incorporated.

Brimstone is a word many associate with hell fire and for good reason as it is the ancient word for sulfur. After Abraham asked G-d if he would spare Sodom and Gomorrah for fifty righteous souls, he pleads with Him until he reaches the number ten and stops. The Bible says that The Lord Adonai rained brimstone and fire out of heaven on the people, but even they are not still burning. Let’s read that for surety. “But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all” Luke 17:29 NIV.

Interesting enough once we get to Revelations, we see fire and brimstone and a message that seems to suggest “forever.”  Let’s look at those verses. “A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with BURNING SULFUR in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus” Revelations 14:9-12 NIV.

What does forever and ever mean? The words everlasting, forever, and ever, were translated from the Greek word aion and the Hebrew olam. Young’s literal translation renders them as “age” or “age-during.”  Aion is a Latin transliteration of the koine Greek word ὁ αἰών (ho aion), from the archaic similar to the Sanskrit word kalpa and Hebrew word olam. The word olam does not mean eternity. This Hebrew word means “in the far distance.” Of course we want it to mean forever when it comes to eternity with HaShem and Yeshua. We must dig deeper. Many words have lost their hidden meaning or been mistranslated. But what does that have to do with their torment rising forever and ever? Let’s look at this even closer.

“I have surely built you a house to dwell in, a settled place for you to abide in FOREVER” 1 Kings 8:13 KJV. Solomon has built a temple for the Lord to dwell in forever but we know this temple was destroyed by war. Also, we know now that the Lord abides in every bought believer and not in temples made with hands! So when we go to the original language, here is what it says, “I have surely built a house of habitation for Thee; a fixed place for Thine abiding to the ages.’ Young’s Literal translation. So let’s try this again with another verse that is more popular. We have King David and he is speaking in Psalms and he says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD FOREVER” KJV Psalm 23:6. Now, let’s look at this verse with the original word ‘olam” and see how it should be worded. Only — goodness and kindness pursue me, All the days of my life, And my dwelling is in the house of Jehovah, For a length of days”! YLT. It said, “For a length of days”. We know from an earlier teaching on heaven that David is in his sepulcher to this day. He is not in the house of the Lord Adonai.  Yes, while he was here on earth, he was in His house, but the translation was not accurate. Let’s do a few more for good measure.

Jonah said, “I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me forever:” Jonah 2:6 KJV. This was a three-day journey that Jesus quoted and said, “For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” Matthew 12:40 KJV. Jonah was not there forever. This happens so often in scripture, if I were to go over them all we would be here all night. My point is, forever and ever in some passages, is just until the age or until death. But don’t take my word for it, research it yourself. In Exodus there is a description of a slave that loves his master and wants to be a servant to him all his days. “if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free: Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door-post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him forever” Exodus 21:5-6 KJV. This man will not be his servant forever, but until he dies.

There is a group of people who live in fear of change, and they have been taught anyone that comes against the King James Bible is of Satan. This is new wine, if you try and pour it in your old wineskin, it’s going to burst. I want to show you and enlighten you on verses you may have missed. Let’s start with the most common word “hell.”  H E double hockey sticks! “You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,” says the LORD of hosts.” Malachi 4:3 NASB.

Obey the Voice

“Then Moses said to the LORD, “Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither recently nor in time past, nor since You have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” The LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? “Now then go, and I, even I, will be with your mouth, and teach you what you are to say.” But he said, “Please, Lord, now send the message by whomever You will.” Exodus 4:10-13 NASB.

Many times I have used the verse above as a way to encourage people that The Lord Adonai can use our mouths and fill our mouths with His Words and help us in our times of fear. Jeremiah says almost the same thing when Hashem calls him to be a prophet to the nations.

“Then I said, “Alas, Lord GOD! Behold, I do not know how to speak, Because I am a youth.” Jeremiah 1:6 NASB.

One theory is that Moses problem was he had forgotten how to speak Egyptian during his 40 year sojourn in Midian. Others claim he could not have had a speech impediment because he was High Priest until Aaron was given the position. Since Moses argued with God over and over about how he was not qualified, God overrides his objections and commands him to go.

“The Talmud teaches that God’s wrath always leaves a lasting effect. (Zevachim 102a) In this case, Moses was punished permanently for his recalcitrance by the loss of the priesthood. Had he accepted God’s call, he, not Aaron, would have been the Kohen Gadol, and the priesthood would have gone to his descendants; now it was stripped from him and reserved for Aaron (Rashi).

According to writings, it was not just a one time command to go to Egypt and free the Israelites but a seven-day dialogue. It is believed that Moses did not want to assume superiority over his older brother Aaron, who was also a prophet. Due to Moses constant bantering, he and his brother would trade positions. This makes me think of Jacob and Esau and also “the older will serve the younger.”

Many times in my life, especially in my early days of hearing the voice of The Lord Adonai, I was scared to do what He was telling me and also uncertain that what I was hearing was really from Him.

One day the Lord prompted me to visit a friend’s parents’ home who were very affluent and intimidating. He told me to go speak to my friend’s mother and pray for her son. I looked at my beat up car, my school books, and heaps of papers thrown here and there and was embarrassed to even park in their driveway, let alone pray with them. I made excuse after excuse, even being afraid of the dog they had. About two days later I was prompted to send a card or call an old neighbor I had not seen since childhood. I kept feeling led to do it but didn’t. One night a few days later in the wee hours of the morning I heard this, “You wouldn’t dip 7 times if I told you to dip.” I was instantly awake and grieved in my spirit at my disobedience. I went and bought two cards and in my friends mothers, I told her that I had been disobedient and that I was praying for her son and to please forgive. I have no idea what would have happened in that instance if I would have obeyed but two days later I received a phone call from his mother. She said, “Bonnie I received your card today and was in tears. I had not heard from my son in months and he just called and invited me to lunch. The card and prayers mean so much!” A few days later I received a card from my old neighbor and she said, “Funny that the Lord has put me on your heart as I was just diagnosed with Cancer and have been having Chemo. Your card has blessed me so and please pray for me.”

This was the beginning of me learning I better obey the voice.
