Neck-lace of the Kingdom

The whole world seems to have its eye on a giraffe named April. I heard about this pregnant mother about two weeks ago while at a family birthday party. I instantly felt Abba Father was trying to tell me something prophetically.

Yes, at the beginning of this month the whole world watched this mother named “April” waiting patiently for her to give birth, and then something incredible happened. A giraffe in Denver that no one knew was even pregnant gave birth spontaneously and hidden from view at 3 a.m. The mother was old and also on birth control, but this did not stop her from giving birth. Dobby’s mother Kipele was born at the Denver Zoo in August 1993, and is the oldest of the Zoo’s giraffes. His father is named Dikembe. (1) Like Sarah, she laughs as millions watch New York’s mother pacing in labor, and while no one is looking or expecting, her young calf comes forth and is named “Dobby.” We will get to this mother in a moment and her baby, as I believe these two mothers represent possibly America and Israel—Ruth and Orpah but let’s see how this unfolds.

Back to New York and April.

The name April means “to open” as in bud—flower. This always reminds me of Aaron and his rod and how we are to bear fruit—good fruit.

“Now on the next day Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi had sprouted and put forth buds and produced blossoms, and it bore ripe almonds.” Numbers 17:8 NASB.

This year Pesach or Passover falls on April 10th, Birth pains. . .

This month is the Hebrew month of Adar (Feb-March.) It is the 6th month of the Hebrew civil year and the 12th month of the religious year. (2) Author and teacher, K. Gallagher compared this month to a very pregnant woman about to give birth as next month Aviv/Nisan commemorates the children of Israel’s birth from the dark womb of Egypt. She explains how they passed through the opening of blood and water as YHWH birthed them (and us) as a nation. Thus, though this is a joyful month full of anticipation, it comes with the tight pressing of birth pangs.” (3)

Ah, birth pains—who here is birthing something? Pushing! Perhaps you’re moving and pacing back and forth like April? Possibly Our Abba Father is doing something different in your life. Labor and waiting on a birth are always difficult. One look at April’s huge belly holding a calf weighing up to 150 pounds looks miserable, but Abba always brings joy out of our labor.

This month Adar is said to be a time of laughter and great joy. Sarah gave birth to the Patriarch Isaac (Yitzchak) during this time and his name means “laughter,” but who wouldn’t laugh at a ninety- year- old woman giving birth or the oldest giraffe in the zoo?

I believe this prophetic message may have something to do with a Kingdom and a King. Jesus/Yeshua said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy. “Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world. “Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.” John 16:20-22 NASB.

One interesting fact pointed out to me was that a giraffe’s neck has the same amount of vertebrae as humans.

  1. Gallagher explains below.

“Nearly all mammals, including humans, have SEVEN vertebrae in their necks. (4) The only difference is that an animal such as the giraffe has very large vertebra whereas a mouse has very small vertebra. Since the neck is representative of whether one’s demeanor is humble or prideful, the natural phenomenon of the neck having SEVEN vertebrae can be compared to the SEVEN Spirits of God or their counterfeit, the SEVEN wicked spirits. (5)

When one is truly filled with the Spirit of God, she will exhibit the attributes of wisdom, understanding, counsel, power, knowledge, and reverence. On the contrary, a stiff-necked person is ruled by their nephesh (flesh), which is characterized by the SEVEN abominations of Proverbs 6:16-19. The first wicked attribute is pride or haughty eyes. Pride always precedes a fall and is the antithesis to the humility of Biblical wisdom. (6)

Thus, the SEVEN vertebrae in a human’s neck teach a spiritual lesson. A pliable, submissive neck is yoked to the Creator’s easy and light sevens of the Bible. This person will eagerly accept the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven. The neck with its SEVEN vertebrae will bend and bow to the will of the King, which is demonstrated in the seven days of creation, the seven Spirits of God, the seven Feasts of Adonai, and even the seven days it takes to consecrate the Holy Temple. These SEVENs show one how the Holy Spirit works to change and promote growth in the life of the Believer for their good as a new creation in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus).

It feels like we are getting closer and closer to the Messianic Kingdom. The number 7 is completion, but the number 8 is fatness and joy unspeakable. Those who are filled with the Spirit and have a humble pliable neck will bow down before their King and enter the gates of the city, the New Jerusalem. I found this next picture too prophetic to let slip through unnoticed. (7)

giraffe 1

When we study the Bible carefully we find that the number seven is tied to everything. It is a number like no other and a day of rest, a wedding day for a Bride, but eight, eight is over and beyond what we can think or imagine.

“Eight in Hebrew “Shemoni [f.], shemonah [m.] Literally to “make fat”. New beginnings, not just complete (like 7), but satiated. Becoming “fat” is having more than enough. Full to overflowing. Moves from natural to supernatural.” Grace in Torah (8).

The father of the baby to be born in New York is named Oliver as in “Olive.” The olive leaf and the olive tree have always been a symbol of Israel and their national emblem is olive leaves draped around the Menorah light. Yeshua is the main branch of that light. The leaves represent peace and the word olive means oil. The word Gethsemane means oil press. This is the place where Jesus/Yeshua was crushed and pressed to the point of sweating blood. I think this giraffe may represent Israel and the birth of something new for the nation and for a people. The word “mashach,” from the same root word “Messiah” means to smear with oil and anoint. (9)

“Strong’s #4886: mashach (pronounced maw-shakh’). a primitive root; to rub with oil, i.e. to anoint; by implication, to consecrate; also to paint:–anoint, paint.”

Remember those seven vertebrae’s? Yes, a giraffe’s neck is what captures our attention. It is the thing that stands out when we see one and no wonder —the neck of a giraffe weighs about 600 pounds.

“Giraffes use their long necks to graze on leaves higher than other herbivores can reach and spot predators before they get close. Their necks tend to average about 6 feet long, and supporting such a length requires powerful muscles and big bones.” (10)

Not only are their necks six feet long but their legs are as well, and the weight of their neck again is about 600 pounds. Seems to be a lot of “6’s” here in these details so I wanted to define that number in the Hebrew.

SIX, “Shesh [f.], sheeshah [m.] Image, man, beast, flesh, sacrifice, intimacy, finished work, knowledge, sacrificial love, number of man and beast, antichrist, idol, and eternal judgment. Six usually refers to the works of man, but ideally, represents sacrificial love and intimate knowledge with the Creator. When the latter is forsaken, only idolatry and flesh remain. We are ALWAYS either projecting the image of God or the image of the beast (flesh), which is represented by the number six.” (11)

We are said to be approaching the 6,000th year. “The Talmud tells us that this world, as we know it, will last for six thousand years, with the seventh millennium ushering in the cosmic Shabbat, the Messianic Era. Six days a week we work, and on the Shabbat, we rest and enjoy the fruits of our labor; the same is true with millenniums.” (12) Are we possibly neck in neck, plummeting at breakneck speed into the Kingdom of His wondrous reign?

“The Hebrew noun for the neck is עורף (oreph, Strong’s #6203), which is derived out of the Hebrew verb ערף (araph, Strong’s #6202) meaning “to be necked,” as in “breaking the neck.” Jeff Benner. (13)

Yes, Come Yeshua Come, with Breakneck speed and set up your Kingdom!

After reading Jeff Benner’s definition of “neck breaking” Mrs. Gallagher and I were reminded of a few scriptures and several more idioms. Pain in the neck——a millstone around the neck—dead from the neck up—neck to neck—long neck–kinked neck–stiff necked, and K. reminded me of how interesting it is that We adorn (like a Bride) our necks with a neck-lace. What a beautiful image!

“My son, observe the commandment of your father And do not forsake the teaching of your mother; Bind them continually on your heart; Tie them around your neck.” Proverbs 6:20-21. Stephen takes this “neck” message further and they end up stoning him to death after they placed their fingers in their ears in rebellion. ““You men who are stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears are always resisting the Holy Spirit; you are doing just as your fathers did.  Which one of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? They killed those who had previously announced the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become; you who received the law (Torah) as ordained by angels, and yet did not keep it.” Acts 7:51-53 NASB. We know HaShem became very upset with His children and at one point said, “Go up to the land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people and I might destroy you on the way.” Exodus 33:3 NIV.

  1. Gallagher explains: “Stiff-necked” evokes the image of an unsubmissive, defiant, and stubborn animal that will not accept the yoke of the master in order to work the land. Necks are where burdens and/or yokes are lain.”

“In Hebrew, Egypt is called Mitzrayim. When God took us out of Mitzrayim, He extricated us from the place of constricted opportunities, tight control, and narrow-mindedness, where movement was severely limited.” (14)

You know another amazing detail about all this stiff neckness– Giraffe’s necks are so flexible they are like a slinky! Yes, its neck is said to be comparable to those cylinder wire toys from our childhood. The ones that seemed to effortlessly slink down the stairs steps.

“We call the vertebrae in the top portion of our backs the thoracic vertebrae. In humans, thoracic vertebrae are joined at the middle of the bone to provide added stability; and our cervical vertebrae fuse at the front and back for more mobility. Giraffe anatomy doesn’t follow this same construction, and its first and second thoracic vertebrae are bound in the same way that its cervical ones are, with ball-and-socket joints [source: Dagg and Foster]. (15) That adaptation gives the giraffe an extra point of flexibility.”

Could it be that a time is coming when Yeshua’s Body is not Stiff-necked, but flexible—bendable—bowing low like the Giraffe has to do to get a drink of water? Could it be that finally All the Body is going to be a people who uphold His Torah and our nation will be a nation that stands with Israel? A man named Jacob had his name changed to Israel and when he blessed the tribes, he told the tribe of Judah this.

“Your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons will bow down to you.” Genesis 49:8-9 GWT.

America has something else in common with this baby giraffe. This mother in Denver named Kipele gave birth at the beginning of March. According to the Denver post, “Although the birth went well, the calf was not initially nursing. Dobby received a plasma transfusion to boost his immune system and fight infection last week after his keepers noticed he had difficulty standing and nursing. Blood tests showed he wasn’t getting enough proteins needed to fight infections from his mother, Kipele.” (16)

giraffe 2

As I researched the Swahili meaning of Kipele I kept coming up empty handed. In English it seemed to mean pimple or scab but when I looked further I found this. (17)

According to this source, Kipele represent a beautiful butterfly. The father’s name Dikembe has a very Ephraim feel to it. “ The Meaning of Dikembe: ‘Rich and Powerful Ruler, Strong Ruler –(18)

Dobby brings the zoo’s giraffe herd to five, officials said. Most newborn giraffe’s measure 6 feet, but Dobby was five foot and instead of weighing in at about 150, Dobby weighed 73 pounds. I noticed the number 5 and instantly thought of grace. As we read earlier, the baby also needed a blood transfusion and again I am thinking of America. America was a strong powerful ruler just like the name Dikembe. I wrote a book that is no longer available as I am editing and adding some chapters to it, but the title I was given was “Give Birth to a New Nation.” The cover had a picture of a very pregnant woman draped in the flag. This baby giraffe weighed 73 pounds and this reminded me of the number 10 in Hebrew.

The number ten in Hebrew means–“Esehr [f.], ahsahrah [m.] Divine order, completed cycle, measure, or group (congregation) whether for good or evil, blessing or judgment. A tenth part represents the whole in a tithe. Thus, ten represents a complete congregation, body, or kingdom, whether good or evil.” (19)

America can be established for good and not evil which requires us turning back to YHWH and His Commandments and bending our stiff necks to receive His grace.

The name Dobby is quite peculiar. I looked into its meaning and this is what I found.

“British Dialect. A fatuous person; A fool. I believe America has also been very foolish. However, the meaning of Dobby as a last name was similar to Robert and since this is my Middle son’s name I knew instantly what that meant. A bright shining LIGHT.” (20)

Last name: Dobby. This interesting name is a dialectal variant of the name Dobb, which derives from the medieval given name “Dobbe”, itself a pet form of Robert, (Old English pre 7th Century “Hrodebert”).

Meaning of Dobby: ‘Famous, Bright, Shining, Clear, Diminutive of Clarence, English short form of Robert (meaning: the glorious Shining).‘ – (21)

Dobby was born in Denver Colorado and yes, I believe God is in the tiniest details. Denver means “green Valley” and Colorado has a Spanish origin and means “colored red.” (22) This could imply that America could move into green pastures covered red by the blood of the Lamb this Passover/ April season or our lush green hills could be bloody in a bad way. Will we allow our stiff necks to be yoked with Him the one who saved us and delivered us? Will we humble ourselves and uphold His Torah and bring back righteous ruling and elect righteous leaders who will uphold life?

I’m still waiting for April and Oliver to give birth in Harpursville New York. King David played the harp and demons fled. What a fitting name for these two parents and their location. I wonder what the name of their baby calf will be. Perhaps Zion? Israel?

There were two women in the Bible, one was named Ruth and the other Orpah. They were Moabites. Moab is the name of the incestuous son of Lot. According to the Torah, no descendent of Mo’av (Moab) is allowed in the assembly of Israel (Deuteronomy 23:3). And Yet Ruth bows her neck very low and comes with her mother in law Naomi to the House of Bread and she tells her Mother-in-law that where she goes, she will follow her. “But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. 17 Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus may the Lord do to me, and worse, if anything but death parts you and me.” When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she [e]said no more to her.” Ruth 1:16-18 NASB.

She meets a wealthy land owner named Boaz and Ruth bows very low to him. “Then she fell on her face, bowing to the ground and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your sight that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?” Ruth 2:10 NASB. Again think “neck.” She ends up marrying Boaz and is in the lineage of King David and our Messiah, Yeshua/ Jesus the Anointed One.

Her sister-n-law Orpah stayed in Moab—dry—dusty—stiff-necked Moab. Two women—two choices. Two nations—two births of a calf. Will one stand under grace with the help of a blood transfusion from Yeshua? Orpah stayed in bondage, but Ruth left everything for a greater ending.

The name Orpah means “NECK.” Awe, this neck thing is deep!

My mother said that when she was pregnant with me the Father told her to call me Ruth. I lived in Moab a very long time. Even when I thought I had come out of Moab, I had not surrendered my stiff-neck like a humble Ruth would. It took much dying of flesh and a long walk from Moab to reach the House of Bread. Just as Ruth had to take a journey to Bethlehem and bow very low before Boaz, who represents our Father, I too, had to give up all of that past life filled with sickness, unsubmissiveness, defiance, stubbornness and yes, a very stiff-neck.

A prophet named Obadiah had a message for the people of Edom and the restoration of Israel. Edom means red like Esau. He too had a stiff neck and lost his birthright—sold it for a bowl of soup. I leave you with this word from Obadiah’s.

“For the day of the Lord draws near on all the nations. As you have done, it will be done to you. Your dealings will return on your own head. “Because just as you drank on My holy mountain, All the nations will drink continually. They will drink and [k]swallow And become as if they had never existed.  But on Mount Zion there will be those who escape, And it will be holy. And the house of Jacob will possess their possessions.  “Then the house of Jacob will be a fire And the house of Joseph a flame; But the house of Esau will be as stubble.” Obadiah 1:15-18 NASB.

Trump, Donald, and Slumber

Here are some interesting Trump facts, but first, just so we are clear, I do not think Trump is our Messiah. He is a man who has made the American people a lot of promises—promises with the help of us and the Father, that I hope he is able to keep. This blog has some simple facts about a man and some serious facts about prophecy.

“The name Trump comes from ‘Trump Family History. English (Devon): metonymic occupational name for a trumpeter.’ “

I believe we need more Trumpeters in this season. If Yah gave you a voice, use it. I’d rather hear a man admit he said horrible things about women 10 years ago, then one who points at the camera and says he never inhaled, never slept with that woman, never made a mistake.

“The name Donald is a Scottish baby name. In Scottish, the meaning of the name Donald is Great chief, world mighty.”

Could Donald be a great chief in our oval office? Perhaps if we pray for him and give him a chance.

Donald’s middle name John means, “Hebrew name יוֹחָנָן (Yochanan) meaning “YHWH is gracious.”

I feel that during this time Abba is being gracious and allowing all our sins to come to a head and allowing us all to repent, forgive, and sound the alarm that He is coming. I’ve personally been sick over my own condition of late. God told Ezekiel to show the house to the house. We need to look at ourselves.

We just celebrated the Feast of Trumpets in September. This is believed to possibly be the Jubilee year. I say possibly because According to biblical law, the Jubilee is only observed when all twelve tribes of the Jewish nation are living in Israel. The Feast of Tabernacles is the seventh of seven feasts that occur in the seventh month, for seven days. (777)

I wish I could give credit to the source who looked this next info up, but I haven’t had luck. After president-elect Donald Trump is sworn in, his first day in office he will be 70 years old, 7 months and 7 days. (777) He is sworn in on the 20th and takes office on January 21, 2017. He was born on June 14, 1946.

Could any of these things be signs from our Father? I think so.

Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement, you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land.

And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family. Leviticus 25:9-10.

This year is the Jewish calendar year of 5,777.

The English word “Jubilee” comes from the Hebrew word “yovel” meaning a “trumpet or ram’s horn.”

A friend pointed out to me the other day that if you say Trump and Pence together quickly, it sounds like trumpet.

The surname Pence is a toponymic surname which described where the original bearer held land. In this case, the surname was originally derived from the Old English words Penn, meaning an area that housed stray animals and penn which referred to a hill. Many of us have felt like stray animals in our own land.

“My sheep wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. They were scattered throughout the whole earth. No one searched or looked for them.” Ezekiel 34:6. Many of us have gone astray and we have wandered about lost, but now it’s time for light to come forth. There was Light in Goshen, but darkness in Egypt.

Pence’s first name is Michael.

From the Hebrew name מִיכָאֵל (Mikha’el) meaning “who is like God?” This is a rhetorical question, implying no person is like God. Michael is one of the seven archangels in Hebrew tradition and the only one identified as an archangel in the Bible.

We have seven trumpets, seven seals, seven churches, seven years of tribulation, seven Feast, seventh day Sabbath, and seven bowls that will be poured out.

I wrote about these trumpets in my last release Blow a Trumpet in Tekoa. Trumpets are alarms! America hear me, hear me, Trumpets are sounded before a war, they are sounded to wake us up from our slumber, they are sounded to alert the people that an enemy is near, and yes, they are sounded during the Feast. I’ll allow Joel to sound it, “Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD, is coming. It is close at hand–a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. Like dawn spreading across the mountains a large and mighty army comes, such as never was in ancient times nor ever will be in ages to come.” Joel 2:1-2.

Tonight we have the supermoon and this hasn’t happened in almost 70 years. They say it hasn’t happened since Israel became a nation. Signs in the heavens.

Yes, things are lining up, but my question to those who are Christians, Believers, followers of the Way, Torah observant congregations is this. . . Will America go unpunished for the blood of over 50 million babies? For the idolatry and bloodshed? For the rainbow being displayed in a manner that has been flipped? For the lawlessness that has infected the land with murdering, sexual profanity, and a whole slew of sins the Torah promises have a recompense. “See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I am commanding you today; and the curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way which I am commanding you today, by following other gods which you have not known.” Deuteronomy 28:26-28.

Every now and then when I was growing up I got out of a spanking, but I never got out of one for doing something that was grievous. America we have a lot of blood on our hands.

I just posted a word I was given about this season called Eat, Eat, and Eat Some More. We are going to need everything in the days ahead to fight with. Gird up your loins and grab His Word, eat it and eat some more. Pray and strengthen the feeble knees and the arms that hang down. Things are heating up and we must be ready.

Riddle Me This! Part # 1

samson 3

This message is about Samson and also the Holy Ruach, the WIND of Yahweh (Holy Spirit).

I’ve written messages about Samson before but not in the depth that I intend to go. This story begins in the book of Judges Chapter 13, but I am going to start with a verse from chapter 17 that will tie it all together.

In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did what was right in his own eyes” Judges 17:6 KJB.

Now Yahweh was still supposed to be their KING, and Judges were elected at times to redeem them from their enemies. It’s a cycle. Let’s look at the beginning of Samson’s story in chapter Judges 13:1, “Now THE SONS OF ISREAL again did evil in the sight of the LORD, so that the LORD gave them into the hands of the Philistines forty years” NASB.

Forty years is a long time. That would put us in 1975 when Ford was president and prayer had been taken out of our public schools for about 3 years. The Vietnam War just ended and our national debt was 541.9 billion versus over 18 trillion today. Five years later in 1980, the supreme court declared that posting the Ten Commandments in a school violated the Constitution of the United States. What a sad day! I looked at an advertisement from 1975 for men and women’s clothing and the women’s dresses were below the knee and the tops were up to the neck (modesty). We see a pattern in the Bible, His people fall into sin and do evil and then they cry out and He delivers them in some fashion, but He waits at times for a whole generation to pass.

The angel tells Samson’s mother, “Now, therefore, be careful not to drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing. “For behold, you shall conceive and give birth to a son, and no razor shall come upon his head, for the boy shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel from the hands of the Philistines.” Judges 13:4-5 NASB. The rules for this are set for us in Numbers chapter six.

“Then the woman gave birth to a son and named him Samson; and the child grew up and the LORD blessed him. And THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD BEGAN TO STIR HIM in Mahaneh-dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol” Judges 13:24 NASB.

According to Hebrew Streams. Org, “The Hebrew has two words for wind, Ruach, and Neshamah. The ruach of God is in my nostrils” (Job 27:3). .. Medieval English theologians believed the Holy Spirit was unknown to the Hebrews and Jews of the Old Testament era. They believed this Wind first appeared at the festival of Pentecost recorded in Acts chapter 2.

This belief created a dilemma for them. For if the Third Person was unknown prior to his appearance, who or what was the Ruach mentioned in the OT? And if the Holy Spirit did not “come” until Pentecost, what Spirit came upon and anointed Yeshua (Jesus) before that event?

To solve the problem and prevent conflicting interpretations, these theologians and their printers created two distinctions.

First, they coined the phrase “Holy Ghost” to designate the Third Person of the Trinity. John Wycliffe’s version of 1380 was the first major translation to use the phrase. Later Bible editors followed his example and used “Holy Ghost” only in their NT portions, never in the OT.        The King James Version of 1611 followed the tradition and has the phrase 90x in its NT. It also never uses the phrases “the Ghost,” “Ghost of God,” “Ghost of Jesus,” or “the Ghost of your Father.” Instead, we find “the Spirit of…,” even though the same Greek word pneuma lies behind “ghost” and “spirit.” The traditional coined phrase “Holy Ghost” denotes an independent, coequal member of the Godhead.

The “Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit” distinction was abandoned in most English Bibles in the late 1800s, in favor of “Holy Spirit” throughout both portions (OT, NT).

Anything breathing is alive and full of the breath of Yahweh, but DEAD things don’t breathe. Revelations 3:1-2 says, ‘I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. ‘Wake up!” NASB.

Job 32:8 says, “But it is the spirit in a person, the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding” NIV.

Ruach means breath, wind, blast, force. A STIRRING WIND!   We see this many times in scripture as in the parting of the Red Sea and the same thing happens with Joshua and the Jordan, Hashem breathed His RUACH WIND and moved the waters so the Priest could walk through on dry land. He breathed His Ruach and blew away all the locust from Egypt. He breathed and Lazarus came forth from the grave. Bread rained down from heaven. He wants to breathe on you and through you?

This WIND has been here since the beginning. “ . . . and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters” Genesis 1:2 NASB. God’s creative power is shown when His mouth speaks words, “God said, Let there be light; and there was light” Genesis 1:3. By His BREATH HE BREATHED and THERE WAS LIGHT.  A Big EXPLOSIVE BANG of SUNSHINE.

Samson’s name meant bright sun and a woman named Delilah (darkness) would end up snuffing that out. More on this wind in a moment…

When we get to the next chapter in Judges, Samson who was supposed to keep all of Yahweh’s commandments and even all the extra Nazirite laws, tells his mother and father that he has seen a daughter of the UNCIRCUMSIZED Philistines and he wants them to get her for HIS WIFE. His parents are horrified by this news and try and convince him to marry a Hebrew girl but he says no. The next verse explains why.

“However, his father and mother did not know THAT IT WAS OF THE LORD, for He was seeking an occasion against the Philistines. Now at that time the Philistines were ruling over Israel.” Judges 14:4 NASB. I’m going to open this up broader, I believe the Philistines represent the gentile nations in this story.

As we move along in the story we see a day when he travels to Timnah to meet with this young woman and set up a betrothal period so they can be united in marriage. Timnah is a name that has great depth. Let’s look at what it means…

TIMNAH= “The masculine noun מן (man I) is what we know as >Manna (Exodus 16:15, Numbers 11:7, Joshua 5:12), which isn’t a translation but a transliteration of a Greek interpretation. In short, we don’t know what it is, apart from it being the miraculous bread from heaven that sustained Israel for the forty years trek through the Negev.”

“Samson went down to Timnah together with his father and mother. As they approached the vineyards (notice the vineyard) of Timnah, suddenly a young lion came roaring toward him. THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME POWERFULLY UPON HIM so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat.” Judges 14:5-7 NIV.

Some time later, when he went back to marry her, he turned aside to look at the lion’s carcass, and in it he saw a swarm of bees and some HONEY. He scooped out the honey with his hands and ate as he went along. When he rejoined his parents, he gave them some, and they too ate it. But he did not tell them that he had taken the honey from the lion’s carcass” Judges 14:8-9 NIV. He was not supposed to go near a dead animal or person, he was a Nazirite.

This whole story is a story in itself. The Strong arm of the Lord, the Lion the Tribe of Judah and THE HONEY that he fed to him and his parents represent Yahweh’s words. “How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” Psalms 119:103 NASB. The wafers in the wilderness were said to taste like honey. Yeshua/ Jesus spoke about how He was that bread of LIFE that rained down from heaven. Isaiah said this, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. He will be eating curds AND HONEY when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right” Isaiah 7:14-15 NIV.

“Now his father went down to see the woman. And there Samson held a feast, as was customary for young men. When the people saw him, they chose thirty men to be his companions.

“Let me tell you a riddle,” Samson said to them. “If you can give me the answer within the seven days of the feast, I will give you thirty linen garments and thirty sets of clothes. If you can’t tell me the answer, you must give me thirty linen garments and thirty sets of clothes” Judges 14:10-12 NIV. The 7 Feast of The Lord Adonai give all the secrets to His riddles and revelation for He is really the only one who holds the answers.

The number 30 is a unique number. Yeshua was sold for 30 silver coins. The 12th Hebrew letter LAMED is equivalent to 30 in numerical terms. It is known as the majestic letter, symbolic of the King of Kings, towering higher than all the others in the Hebrew alphabet.

I believe these garments represent the garments of salvation. The priestly linen robes…The Levites over the priesthood had to be 30 years old. The High Priest had two sets of holy garments: the “Golden Garments”, and a set of white “Linen Garments”

I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10…

The Death of a Nation

We lost three Rabbi’s yesterday who were Americans–six total. I watched the videos and looked at the pictures of the tallit prayer shawls soaked in blood and felt the heaviness. The Holy Torah soaked in all the blood of HaShem’s people laid on the floor. The blood from Abel to every prophet ever martyred seemed to cry out from that photo. I’m telling you if this has not shaken us out of our comfort zone it should.  If someone doesn’t BLOW A TRUMPET and sound an alarm soon people are going to continue to sleep and not have enough oil.

My cry is that America doesn’t just watch and say, “G-d have mercy and then continue with their life as normal because we need some Daniels and some Nehemiah’s and some Ezra’s who have a mind to work and repent and cry out over the horrific genocide of God’s people all over the world.  We need men and women to weep over the desensitization of our youth and our own selves. What has happened to us?

If you go buy a product that comes with a booklet of instructions and a box full of parts, some electrical, some mechanical and so forth and you throw the book away and say I can do this myself–basically, many have done this today here on planet earth.

I don’t think Yahweh is asleep while innocent people suffer and more corruption and heartache trickles into the world. I think the Father is grieving over His people and His creation. You see the order of things has been corrupted. The order has been defiled. When you obey His rules for marriage, parenting, how you grow and raise food, how to love your neighbor as yourself, and how to Love Him with all your heart and strength, you have PEACE, HEALTH, and PROSPERITY– and I am not talking about a mansion and a fat bank account.

I see parents who fear their children won’t like them and so they appease them and say things like, “That’s just Miley being Miley”… No, that’s just wickedness. When I got divorced I tried to make my children like me and I wanted to be their friends. We are not supposed to fear whether our children like us. We are to be parents. I had guilt over divorce and leaving them alone at night while working so I tried to not discipline them much when I was with them. Then to top it off my own sins were so rotten I really didn’t feel I had the ability to correct them. They were actually pretty amazing children considering what all they went through. Praise HIM!

With missing father figures in many children’s lives today we have young men who really don’t know how to become a man or even what defines a man. Without having any guidance or even ambition, these young men often are waiting for a man to step up and tell them what to do with their lives.  We have young women looking for a father figure instead of a husband and young women giving their bodies away and not savoring a relationship. Young girls used to learn to knit, cook, and how to clean, now they have little domestic skills because after all raising children is not a job (SARCASM)…

Many children were raised by television sets and with no guidance. We have so much rotten filth in our media today to blush about it doesn’t even give it justice. My generation alone needs to repent for what it has done to our children’s generation.

We are living in a world where gradually the Torah commandments have been removed from the nails that held them on the walls of our homes, school houses, and government, to the nails that put them in place on the cross and engraved HIS WORDS in our hearts that we may not sin against Him. Jesus said, “If you love me then you will keep my commandments” John 14:15 ESV. We have become a people stripped of the commandments–stripped of obedience to our Maker, and each time we break the commandments of Yahweh we lose our clothing. We are like naked Adam and Eve, exposed right before our enemies.

When Yahweh looks on the sins of America and her idolatry it must really grieve Him. You see if we love our child we will not continue to let him or her play in traffic. Yes, we are going to give our child a daddy spanking eventually. If we really love our children we are going to correct them instead of letting them walk around with dirt all over their faces. Eventually, when a child continues to disobey their Father, he will become harsher or turn his children over to satan for the destruction of the FLES

Isaiah 3 gives us a taste of that…

“See now, the Lord, the Lord Almighty, is about to take from Jerusalem and Judah (America) both supply and support: all supplies of food and all supplies of water, the hero and the warrior, the judge and the prophet, the diviner and the elder, the captain of fifty and the man of rank, the counselor, skilled craftsman and clever enchanter. I will make mere youths their officials; children will rule over them.” People will oppress each other— man against man, neighbor against neighbor. The young will rise up against the old, THE NOBODY AGAINST THE HONORED! A man will seize one of his brothers in his father’s house, and say,“You have a cloak, you be our leader; take charge of this heap of ruins!”

But in that day he will cry out, I have no remedy. I have no food or clothing in my house; do not make me the leader of the people.” AMERICA, staggers, AMERICA is falling; their words and deeds are against the Lord, defying his glorious presence. The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; THEY DO NOT HIDE IT. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves. ISAIAH 3:1-9 NIV.

Let’s resurrect Jesus/Yeshua from the dead and begin to post Him (THE WORD) on our walls and our gates and carve them into our hearts and repent. Goodness, what will it take to get our attention before it’s too late and AMERICA is fallen, that great city who loved her lust? Folks, we are supposed to study His Words, and speak them forth continuously, because if ever there is a time when Torah is not being vocalized AND KEPT the ancient Sages believe “the earth will melt away with a fervent heat.”… Peter spoke about this and said, “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.” 2nd Peter 3:10 NIV.

This brings to mind the book of Colossians, where in chapter one it says that Yeshua (THE WORD) holds ALL THINGS together and that by Him all things consist. Replace Yeshua with the sins of flesh and satan, the lust of man and we will destroy the planet, the animals, and human life. AND WE ARE. Let’s wake up America and make a last stand before Jesus/ Yeshua stands on The Mount and splits it in half.

Go Ahead Drink the Curse?

Go Ahead and Drink the Curse

This devotional is a tad strange. The title alone is a bit confusing. I hope you will follow closely to understand there is a deeper meaning behind the message. Think about being the Bride of Jesus-Yeshua and getting out of covenant with him. This message is about a bride committing adultery with another man and drinking a bitter curse.

In the book of Numbers 5:12-22 CJB, It tells of how HaShem informs the children of Israel that if a wife goes astray and cheats on her husband, or if he suspects she has and becomes jealous with a spirit of jealousy, then the man shall bring his wife to the priest. “And the Cohen (priest) shall bring her near, and set her before HaShem (God).   ‘The Cohen shall take holy water in an earthen vessel, and take some of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle and put it into the water.

Then the Cohen shall stand the woman before HaShem, uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering for remembering in her hands, which is the grain offering of jealousy. And the Cohen shall have in his hand the bitter water that brings a curse. This should remind you of the children of Israel and the golden calves they erected while Moses was on the mount. Exodus 32:20, “And he took the calf the people had made and burned it in the fire; then he ground it to powder, scattered it on the water and made the Israelites drink it.” NIV. They drank bitter water too. The same token is found in this story. Let’s continue with the woman who may have went astray.

“And the Cohen shall put her under oath, and say to the woman, “If no man has lain with you, and if you have not gone astray to uncleanness while under your husband’s authority, be free from this bitter water that brings a curse.

“But if you have gone astray while under your husband’s authority, and if  you have defiled yourself and some man ‘then the Cohen shall put the woman under the oath of the curse, and he shall say to the woman–” HaShem make you a curse and an oath among your people, when HaShem makes your thigh rot and your belly swell  “and may this water that causes the curse go into your stomach, and make  your belly swell and your thigh rot.” Then the woman shall say, “Amen, so be it”…

Yes, you read it correctly!

The Cohen-Priest would write these curses on a scroll, and he would scrape them off into the   bitter water. Then he would make the woman drink the bitter water that brings a curse. Oh, my!

The woman was commanded by the Lord to drink up the bitter water. The words were literally written and placed into the water, curses. However, if she had been faithful the curses couldn’t hurt her. If the husband erred, the curse was void. But she still had to drink the bitter cup.

Jesus/Yeshua drank from a bitter cup, and he was innocent. The woman may have been innocent too. I am thankful that Jesus/Yeshua took our curse and drank our bitter water. All our sins were washed in the water and all our nakedness was covered by His blood. Now when the enemy drags you before the priest, you are covered.

“Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.” Mark 14:36 NASB.

He told Peter, “Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?” John 18:11 NIV.

The bitter water given to the bride that caused the stomach to swell was actually a curse that implied if the woman was guilty or pregnant by another man, she would miscarry (Thigh rot) or become barren. This was a grave curse indeed in that time period. Ironic that all the great patriarchs wives appeared to everyone as if they were under a curse. Sarah’s womb was dead until she was ninety-nine years old. Rebekah, Rachel, and Hannah all cried out for the Lord to open their wombs.

This Law of bitter water was set up by The Lord Adonai and put into place for women. Back then a husband could have his wife stoned to death. He could become jealous with this spirit of jealousy and she would be in danger.

This bitter test seemed very humiliating. The woman was made to stand with her hair down in front of the priest and drink the curse. Some claim she was naked with only her hair and shame to cover her.  Being naked in the Bible is symbolic of being without His Commandments and Torah instructions. The curses were spoken over her and it was believed at the time that if the woman was found innocent she would come to be with child afterwards and be blessed with a new baby! Perhaps HaShem covered her indeed? If she had truly committed adultery and was pregnant, the baby would not be an outcast, but loved and the sin and the humiliation before the priest would never be forgotten and she would move to repent.

There seem to be no stories found of a woman’s womb exploding and so I tend to agree that the Father was protecting women. He was protecting the Virgin Mary even. I believe God placed this ritual to protect the womb and the gift that was to come forth to the world. But on a deeper matter, we all represent backslidden Israel. Like Hosea, Gomer’s wife, who was a harlot, we’ve all went a whoring at some time or another. God says He is a jealous God and that He wants a wife that will be faithful to Him. He wants to write our names in His Book and never blot them out.

EVERY WOMAN’S WOMB HOLDS A GIFT. Even the women who have never given birth. Isaiah 54:1-3 says, “The Lord says sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song!

Shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,” says the LORD. Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left” NIV. The Father continues in this chapter to explain that He had hidden his face from His wife for a moment but that now He would bring her back to Him and marry her again. Giving birth to a new baby was the sign that the woman was innocent and that The Father was blessing her.

I can only hope that whatever path He leads you down is happening soon and you are on course. Nine months of preparation in the womb can equal nine to forty years of preparation in the spirit. You don’t have to drink the bitter water or the spirit of jealousy if you stay clothed in His robes of Righteousness. Our bride clothes, white and sparkling come from His Word. Yeshua’s blood has covered our stained past of adultery. Our marriage contract is His Holy Torah and when we obey it and try and live righteously He never blots our name from His book. Just as these bitter words were scraped and placed in the water to be swallowed, so it was for Israel after their adultery in the wilderness. And just as our names are written in the Lamb’s book of Life, Moses said this, “Alas, this people has committed a great sin, and they have made a god of gold for themselves. (Jealousy and adultery)  But now, if You will, forgive their sin—and if not, please blot me out from Your book which You have written!” Exodus 32:31. God tells Moses that He will blot out who He sees fit to blot out but in the meantime, He tells Moses to obey Him.

Bitter water can befall us is we go about naked and unfaithful to our Husband in the natural and in the spirit. Adam’s bride ate the forbidden fruit that came with a curse and instead of leaving His Bride naked, He covered her and partook of the curse. “The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual.” 1 Corinthians 15:45-46 NASB. Let’s all strive to be faithful brides, wearing white gowns, clean and spotless without a wrinkle– without leprosy.

“Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse will not land on its intended victim” Proverbs 26:2 NLT.

All the Ways of a Man . . .

This week the Father has been teaching me that, “All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit” Proverbs 16:2 ESV. We have a way of doing things like marriage, raising children, what we allow in our homes, our spirits, how we manage our finances, and even a way that we like to eat.  There is a way that seems right to a man but the Lord Adonai has a better way and that is why He gave us instructions.

This may be a hard message for some, so let’s buckle up and get a seat belt on.

“How can a young man keep his way pure?
By keeping it according to Your word.

With all my heart I have sought You;
Do not let me wander from Your commandments.

Your word I have treasured in my heart,
That I may not sin against You.” Psalm 119:9-11 NASB.

David is enticed to number Israel. A lot of men like numbers. Men and women have been known to number things and the higher the number, the more they esteem it as a success. Men number bank accounts, Championships in sports, just about the only number they like small is on the scales when they weigh. I heard a man the other day brag about being married 20 years. Just because you survived that many years doesn’t mean it was successful; it simply is a number.

Men like to count the money they have in savings. When I say men, I mean both sexes. Men like to count what they own. They like to neatly list it in their heads and then they get accountants to handle it so that one day when they are dead it can be divided to those who wait for it– some wait with anticipation because they love money and that is as Yeshua said the ROOT of all, not some, but ALL evil.

Now we have David wanting a number. Joab comes and says this, “But Joab said, “May the LORD add to his people a hundred times as many as they are! Are they not, my lord the king, all of them my lord’s servants? Why then should my lord require this? Why should it be a cause of guilt for Israel?” 1 Chronicles 21:3 NASB.

“Nevertheless, the king’s word prevailed against Joab. Therefore Joab departed and went throughout all Israel and came to Jerusalem. Then Joab gave the sum of the number of the people to David. All Israel had one million one hundred thousand men who drew the sword, and Judah had four hundred and seventy thousand men who drew the sword. BUT HE DID NOT COUNT LEVI AND BENJAMIN AMONG THEM, FOR THE KINGS WORD WAS ABOMINABLE TO JOAB!” 1 CHRONICLES 21:4-6 WEB.

Why would he find it abominable? I mean how harmless is it to want to know what the number of men you have? Can anyone say Pride? HaShem had Moses take a census and HaShem said don’t number the Levites, they do the service of the tabernacle and they shall bear the sins. Therefore, the tribe G-d commanded not to number, David was saying number them ANYWAY!  That is why Joab was disgusted. He was adding more numbers in pride and taking them in a sense out of the Holy appointed office and placing them in one where blood would be shed. Not a good thing. Also, G-d was the only one who could command a numbering census.

“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the ways of DEATH. Proverbs 14:12 KJV. Guess how many people died over him numbering with pride and out of God’s order? Seventy thousand men were slaughtered. Ouch!

“Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye” Proverbs 7:2 NIV.

The apple of our eye is our pupil. The pupil is what causes us to shut our eye very fast when something is headed that way that could cause injury. David caused INJURY. . .

I sat down the other night and the television was on. I don’t watch television much. I will watch a movie here and there or a forensic show but that’s about it. However, the TV was on and it was a movie, Disney even. This mom in the movie was getting out of a car and she tells her two daughters, as they walk in the house not to turn on the television and they both grab the remote and giggle and in unison say, “Hurry turn the TV on!” And they proceed to turn it on. Now most people think, okay, big deal. That’s teenagers for you. Yes, it is. However, as bad of a teenager, as I was, I wasn’t sinning right in the open. Those girls were not, “Honoring their mother and Father.” We brush it aside and say oh big deal.  But we didn’t write that command the FINGER OF GOD WROTE IT and that is why we have such lawlessness in our land. It creeps in. It crept into the world strongly in my day. Bart Simpson’s smart mouth to his parents was humorous to many, but in reality, it’s not funny its sin. I sinned so much in my teenage years that if we were still under the curse of the law they would have stoned me to death.

“There is a way that seems right to a man but in the end, it LEADS TO DEATH” Proverbs 14:12 WEB.

WHY? “God loved the world this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will NOT DIE but will have eternal life” John 3:16 GWT.

So what does believing in Him mean? He is the Word. We have disobeyed him over and over in our land until it is polluted. Jesus/ Yeshua said, “If you love me you will KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS” John 14:15 ESB. What did Yahweh say about his commandments?

Deuteronomy 6:7, “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise” ESV. Oh, my! Did you read that? Instead of keeping them, We in America, have been removing them. Some churches have thrown the whole Old Testament out of their Bibles.

“There is a way that may seem right to a man and then there is death.” Another verse not spoken much anymore is Proverbs 13:24. “Whoever spares the rod HATES his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him” ESV.  Yahweh said if you don’t correct your children, you hate them. The Hebrew word for hate is a problem in translation. The Hebrew language lacks fine-drawn distinctions. The word hate here means that you would rather let them act out and disrespect others, then to use a rod on them. I heard a child throw a fit at the store the other day and this little boy looked about seven or eight. He smacked his grandmother in the face and she did nothing. “Now, now, shush, don’t hit grandma”…LAWLESSNESS. God told Eli, the High Priest, that he was putting his sons above HIM and allowing them to lay with the prostitutes in the temple and take money bribes– Eli broke the first commandment, “THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME” WHEN HE MADE HIS SONS HIS GOD’S.

May the Father have mercy on this generation that doesn’t love the children enough to discipline them.  God spoke to Eli and said, “Why do you honor your sons more than me by fattening yourselves on the choice parts of every offering made by my people Israel?” 1 Samuel 2:29 NIV.

Today I am asking a serious question: What do we love more than Him? Jesus/ Yeshua said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ Matthew 22:37 NIV.

It may seem right to a man to go charge a car and make payments every month. It may seem right to get a credit card for clothing and another for travel and pay on it monthly. Perhaps, charge extra debt on credit to bless family or friends for birthdays and other anniversaries? Perhaps, the man is making the payments fine and he has a good job and if he juggles it just right he can still have a little fun. I’ve found Yahweh’s rules to be different.  An understanding wise Father knows the man could get laid off, lose his job, or worse have an accident or a health issue. Romans 13:8 says “Owe No Man!” KJB. Proverbs 13:11 says, “Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time”. Over time requires patience. Over time requires careful saving and then the exciting day when you pay out of pocket for what you need and even what your heart desires.

There is a way that seems right– The Father will hold us accountable like He did David. You may be thinking that’s old school Tekoa, we are under grace and yes we are, but don’t think God won’t give His children a spanking.

“For the LORD corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights” Proverbs 3:12 NLT.

Let’s get back to David. So Gad (David’s Seer) went to David and said to him, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Take your choice: three years of famine, three months of being swept away before your enemies, with their swords overtaking you, or three days of the sword of the Lord—days of plague in the land, with the angel of the Lord ravaging every part of Israel.’ Now then, decide how I should answer the one who sent me.” 1 Chronicles 21:12 NIV.

WHO IS THE ONE WHO SENT HIM? God is and if you been raised to think HIM a PANSEY who blesses you only and gives you good parking spaces and lots of money to count, I guarantee you, you are wrong about that. Yes, He blesses and He even makes it rain on the just and unjust, but He also corrects.

“David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress. Let me fall into the hands of the Lord, for HIS MERCY is very great; but do not let me fall into human hands.”

So the Lord sent a plague on Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell dead.”  (70 THOUSAND!)

And God sent an angel to destroy Jerusalem. But as the angel was doing so, the Lord saw it and relented concerning the disaster and said to the angel who was destroying the people, “Enough! Withdraw your hand.” The angel of the Lord was then standing at the threshing floor of Araunah] the Jebusite.

David looked up and saw the angel of the Lord standing between heaven and earth, with a drawn sword in his hand extended over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, FELL FACE DOWN!

David said to God, “Was it not I who ordered the fighting men to be counted? (HE KNEW he had sinned)

He said, I, the shepherd have sinned and done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? Lord my God, let your hand fall on me and my family, but do not let this plague remain on your people.” 1 Chronicles 21:13-17 NIV.

When we sin, it hurts others. David said, “Let it fall on my family!” Can you imagine? When we are not righteous and acting as the husband or wife He commanded us to be, then our children and family get hurt. When we are not the parents he called us to be, children and family get hurt. When we are not responsible with our money, children and family get hurt. While we are busy counting things and use the gospel for gain sake, sheep get hurt and when we lust with our eyes and put others above Him, often people get hurt. Eli’s sons were struck dead and then he fell out of the window and broke his neck. When we do not make His word the apple of our eye and sit down and talk about it with our family, we invite lawlessness to abound.

David is told to build an offering unto the Lord.  He goes to buy a threshing floor to sacrifice on. He pled with the owner to pay full price but the man who possessed it had seen the death angel and he wanted to just give it to the king. In verse 24 it says, “… King David replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on paying THE FULL PRICE. I will not take for the Lord what is yours, or sacrifice a burnt offering that costs me nothing” NIV.

IT WILL COST US SOMETHING. Yes, sacrifices are tied to the altar and burned.

Let us get on the threshing floor with David. That is the very place DAVID bought that Abraham had to offer Isaac on. It was Mount Moriah. My plea today is for all of us to lay our Isaac’s down and keep His Word as the apple of our eye.

Naked Men and Naked Women

This devotional is rather strong, like a cup of black espresso. Most of the ones under this section will bring conviction and deep thought.

The Bible says there is “a time to weep and a time to laugh.” Ecclesiastes 3:4 NIV. I could be wrong, but I feel like it’s a time to weep. My husband who used to be in law enforcement had dealings with naked People while working. First, he had to arrest a man with no pants on and no underwear, who was eating a salad he stole from Kroger. This man was sitting drunkenly outside a well-known restaurant at lunch time. Everyone going inside could see his drunken naked condition, but him! Yes, he seemed to be unaware.

Next, a few weeks later, he is called to arrest a woman who is walking down the road completely naked and talking crazy. Thankfully another officer had a sheet in his trunk. As my husband told me of the second incident, it seemed the Holy Ruach Spirit began to say to me, “That’s my people.”

“‘Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.” Revelation 3:17 NASB.

Neither person my husband arrested knew they were naked. They had no idea. At least Adam and Eve were aware of their condition and sewed some fig leaves to cover their nakedness. Something seems to have shifted in the spirit realm; it’s as if we are naked and do not realize it.

Yes, at times, we are not even aware of our condition.

I’m not screaming or yelling at anyone to repent. See repentance is something I can’t even express to you. It’s such a personal matter, there is no way I could tell you what you need to repent of or what issues of sin you might have. No, The Holy Ruach Spirit must do that and unless it comes from our hearts, there’s no power in it.

It seems to me that all across this land people get dressed and ready for Shabbat or church on Sunday, but their spiritual condition is as Jesus/Yeshua said above, wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. Yes, we put attire on, but spiritually we need eye salve. The condition is one that goes deeper. All throughout the scriptures you can compare men and women who knew how to repent and those who did not. You can start with Cain and Abel, Jacob and Esau and go from there to King Saul and David– throughout the Bible until you reach the end of the book. Yes, the Apostle John warned us. “The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.” Revelation 16:8-9 NIV.

America, the church, the naked bride, dirty and smiling and singing her songs. Performing miracles, signs, and wonders and “winning souls.” But is there any change in her condition? Any real power that’s changing our nation? Are the youth flocking to Bible studies/ Midrash? Are the abortion clinics closing? Are the heroin addicts running to our assemblies because of our love? Are the movie theaters a place you can take your children to see a clean show? Darkness is getting darker and we must keep getting brighter and shining our lights.

The church is not a building you go to once a week. The bride is not a woman in a gown. The thoughts that we think are not His thoughts. Yahweh is a God we should fear. Fear is a word that we should think about at times when we think of The Creator of all. Even the demons believe in God and tremble. “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” James 2:19 KJB.

Jeremiah 5:22 (NIV) “Should you not fear me?” declares the Lord. “Should you not tremble in my presence?”

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I have reached the correct measure of fearing him. Demons tremble, shouldn’t we? In Hebrew, the word fear is not just a feeling aroused due to danger but an extreme sense of wonder that comes from recognizing an authority. When we look at a burning bush, a zebra, a delicate flower, and recognize it came from an awesome Creator, then we are in awe of His magnificence. We fear a God who is able to create such wonder for our eyes to behold and we honor Him for giving it to us to enjoy in beauty and grace.

When we notice that creation and His Word no longer excite us, then it’s time for us to repent. One man in the Bible named Ezra repented for the whole nation.

Ezra was aware of his nation’s sins, “O my God, I am too ashamed and disgraced to lift up my face to you, my God, because our sins are higher than our heads and our guilt has reached to the heavens.” Ezra 9:6 NIV.

“While Ezra was praying and confessing, weeping and throwing himself down before the house of God, a large crowd of Israelites – men, women, and children – gathered around him. They too wept bitterly.” Ezra 10:1 NIV. Ezra and the people were truly repentant before God. They acknowledged His authority as ruler of all the earth. They also knew that they needed to get back to keeping His instructions and commandments.

The church is divided and the preachers say, pat me on the back and tell me I’m preaching well. What happened to the fear of Yahweh? Ezra’s repentant heart caused men, women and children to join him in weeping.

Psalms 34:11 NIV. “Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.”

Psalms 89:7 NASB “A God greatly feared in the council of the holy ones,
And awesome above all those who are around Him?”

Where’s the love?

On a cross dripping with blood. HaShem is love. “The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John 4:8 NASB. The truth is our nation is naked and in need of a good scrubbing.

Are they ashamed of their detestable conduct? “No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush…” Jeremiah 6:15 NIV. Naked people should blush. The Torah is considered clothing. Let us bathe and dress in robes of Righteousness.
